Great customer service!


I just wanted to send a letter on a great experience I had in one of Bernie & Phyl’s stores. I am an Interior Designer and I was in the Westboro store looking for some tables. I was helped immediately by a salespersnon named Al. he was extremely helpful. When I came to pick them up they both came in damaged. I was a little concerned because I was working off of a time frame with a client. There was only 1 table in the warehouse which means it would have been weeks before I could get these tables. June who was contacted was very accommodating by letting me purchase the floor model. I have never had a furniture store do that. I was also in a bind trying to find plants for this office space. I was inquiring to June about not being able to find good ones, and there were some great looking trees in your store. June was so helpful with adjusting the price to fit the budget I was working with. I bought 6 form her and a pair of lamps. June actually had to get 1 of the lamps form another location because there was only 1 in this store.

The end result is that because of June and the staff, I met my deadline, found everything I needed within 1 location, and had great customer service!!!

I’m now a new customer to Bernie & Phyl’s and I commend them and their staff at the Westboro location.

I am spreading the word to anyone I know to shop at Bernie and Phyls furniture


I recently bought a curio cabinet at Bernie and Phyl’s Nashua store.

I went in the store on a Sunday afternoon. A woman came over and took me over to look at the selection. After I looked for a few minutes I was going to check out other stores. She told me her name (which I’ve forgotten) and I left.

I went around to other stores in the area and returned. The first woman was tied up with another customer so she told another woman to take over. The second woman was Alison. Both women were extremely helpful without being pushy. I appreciated the treatment I received.

But it continued. The woman at the sales desk was also polite and friendly.

The delivery men also were helpful . The man in charge bent over a little extra when I told him I was a single senior woman alone. He set the cabinet right in the corner and pulled the pins that hold the shelves for me.

Not too long ago I had dealings with another local furniture store. My dealings there were ok, but after the treatment I received and Bernie and Phyl’s, I am spreading the word to anyone I know to shop there.

Bernie & Phyl’s deserves and A+ for this transaction


I’ve always believed that quality customer service can make or break a business. I wanted to drop you a quick not to share with you my experience with Bernie & Phyl’s in the last 36 hours.

I spent a few hours on Friday browsing websites, including yours, for a new bed. I’d never made a large purchase online previously and was skeptical at how this might go at first, but decided to attempt to buy a bed from Bernie & Phyl’s via their website.

The entire staff should be commended for making this a great experience. Within an hour of selecting my bed a customer service rep called me to confirm my order. A short time later, Clyde in the shipping department called me to arrange delivery for today… a Saturday… I couldn’t believe it! Clyde advised that my bed would be delivered on the following morning between 10AM and 2PM. My bed arrived well within that window and in no time, the delivery team had my bed assembled where I wanted it, were able to accept a credit card payment, and removed all the trash before heading on to their next stop.

Bernie & Phyl’s deserves an A+ for this transaction. All that I mentioned and only $25 to have the bed delivered and assembled!

I want to commend a Bernie & Phyl’s employee


I wanted to commend a Bernie & Phyl’s employee from the Saugus store, Bobby Capp. He was very patient and knowlegeable, as I was nervous about buying a new livingroom set He answered every question, encouraged me to take my time and relax, and never made made me feel pressured or stalked as I felt in other furniture store.

I bought my first ever sofa and loveseat from Bernie & Phyl’s Lechmere store over 10 yrs ago, and loved their service I received and the quality of the product I was very pleased to do business them again.

I was absolutely delighted with Bernie & Phyl’s!


I was absolutely delighted with Bernie & Phyl’s! My salesman was exceptionally kind and courteous. He allowed me to sit in the sofa in the store for an hour with my knitting and even offered me a blanket & tea. He was fantastic. My sofa was delivered yesterday and the delivery men were wonderful. I have never seen anyone that young be so kind, pleasant and professional. They had to put the sofa through the window which I was nervous about, but they got it in with no problems. They put my window back in and put my curtain back up. They also removed my old sofa. I will never be buying furniture from anyone else but Bernie & Phyl’s again and have been telling all my friends and neighbors how great they are. All the Bernie & Phyl’s customers deserve a week at the Bahamas!

Will go to Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture again.


I recently purchased my bedroom furniture Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus, MA location. I bought the Quaker Ridge furniture (love the pencil post bed!!!), and I’m thrilled!

I have to admit that I wasn’t really expecting to find solid wood furniture at their store. (, just thought that was only possible at the more high-end type stores), and was very excited when I realized it was maple. So far, we are very pleased with the quality craftsmanship of the pieces we decided to own. Of course it’s only been a week, but I don’t anticipate/hope that doesn’t change.

The reason I am writing today at all, is to comment on the couple of “people” experiences I had during the process of buying my furniture. I was meandering around looking at the bedroom displays, when along came Lourde Peck to ask if I needed any help. Boy, did I get help, and then some! She was fantastic! I felt as though she was not pushy at all, was willing to help in any way possible and was very knowledgeable (& when she wasn’t 100% sure, sought out the information necessary). I had a very good idea about what I wanted when I arrived, but it sure was nice to have someone available that was able to help me out when I needed it.

As to the delivery process, Mark called about 30-45 minutes ahead of time to say he was on his way. He showed up when he said he would (with another delivery person whose name I did get at all, again,-apologies), and they were also great! When he called, I told him that we lived on a very narrow dead end dirt road and that we could use my husband’s pick up buck to load the furniture at the main road & then drive down to our house if necessary. Didn’t even know they were here until Mark’s delivery partner came walking down the driveway with a small piece of the delivery. Mark had managed to maneuver the truck down at least to the end of our driveway! They were very polite, efficient & most importantly, careful.

I’ll be sure to make Bernie & Phyl’s one of my first looks when I decide I need something new.

By the way, I had spotted my bedroom furniture on their website about 4-6 months ago and had forgotten about it when I showed up at the store. I didn’t realize it was that furniture until I ordered it the same day and then came home to look at it online.

Sales associate went above and beyond the call of duty


My husband and I purchased a glider for my daughter on June 10th at Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store. It was a surprise for her baby shower. Our sales associate was most helpful. Once we purchased the chair I realized I didn’t have my camera with me. I wanted a picture of the chair to wrap so I could give it to my daughter at her baby shower. When we were doing the paperwork our saleswoman went into the office and came out with a camera and off she went. She went and took a picture of the glider for me and a wonderful gentleman in the office printed the picture! This was above and beyond the call of duty! I never asked her to do that. She was wonderful. It was my first experience at Bernie & Phyl’s but certainly won’t be my last.

A few comments…


I recently purchased a living room set from Bernie & Phyl’s Nashua location, and wanted to share a few observations I had. My salesperson’s name was Will. He was very attentive without being pushy and also very knowledgeable about both the products and inventory availability. He provided much needed insight and making the whole buying experience painless.

The store is set-up to be very customer friendly. I had no difficulty at all finding what I was looking for. As a customer I truly appreciate the effort that has been extended providing an extensive showroom.

Last, but surely not least, as a customer service manager for over 8 years I realize how demanding today’s consumer is and what it takes to keep them happy and coming back. As long as they keep employees like Will and locations such as their Nashua store Bernie & Phyl’s should have a great future!

I recommend Bernie & Phyl’s to anyone


I ended up at your tore in their Saugus by chance - I-had purchased Broyhill furniture from a different store - long story short, my 6 weeks for delivery turned into 14 weeks at the last minute meantime - I had 30 people coming over with no furniture!
I shopped at your store and had my furniture within a week (in time for my party!). On top of that, once I got my furniture I realized I needed another coffee table - and got it within another few days.

I was most impressed with the delivery. We had a terrible snow storm the day before - over 5 inches -and was sure my furniture would not be delivered. Not only was it delivered - the men shoveled a path from my front yard to back porch for easier delivery. They also moved an old sofa from the room for me.

I was very pleased with my entire experience - but most impressed with the delivery - and I’ll definitely do more business with their store. I recommend Bernie & Phyls to anyone I know looking for furniture.

Wonderful Sales Associate


I would like to tell you about a very positive experience my husband and I had last Saturday afternoon at Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store We were shopping for a reclining loveseat and had been to Jordan’s Furniture and Bob’s Discount Furniture. We stopped in the Saugus store since we were in the area and spoke to Jack Early. He was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, spent about two hours with us while we sat on every reclining loveseat in the store and asked every question we could think of. He wrote down vital information for us on his business card.

We are not prone to impulse shopping, so we left the store with a firm and friendly handshake and a nice smile from Mr. Early. We did not feel pressure from him at all.

On Sunday, we decided to go to Nashua to explore more furniture stores. The first store we went into was Jordan’s. We again sat on lots of reclining loveseats and actually had the sales associate ask us bluntly If we were ready to buy. When we hesitated, she told us that she needed to assist other customers! We left the store and then went to Bernie & Phyl’s Nashua store. We wandered about and sat on different loveseats and then found the same loveseat that we liked the best on Saturday (thanks to Mr. Early’s note on his business card). The sales associate was very friendly and we decided to buy it. The sales clerk told us exactly the same information that Mr. Early gave us.

Since we are going to pick up the reclining loveseat from the store ourselves, we decided to save the $40.00 delivery charge and by going to Nashua we will save on the sales tax (about another $40.00). A penny saved is a - penny earned!

I just bought furniture for the very first time online


I just bought furniture for the very first time online via Bernie & Phyl’s website. I hesitated since I was buying without seeing but figured that sometimes buying furniture that you see doesn’t always ‘fit the bill’ either and was willing to take the chance.

It was pictured well and fit my choice of decor. It was a great experience from the ease of using their website and checkout, to the prompt customer service I received the next day to set up delivery. The furniture was delivered today by two very pleasant men who set it up for me. I will recommend Bernie & Phyl’s to anyone and will definitely use their services again.

Good experience buying furniture


I just wanted to let you know what a good experience we had buying furniture at the Westboro store. The living room furniture ended up being way too big for the room. We explained this to the customer service rep and she couldn’t have been nicer. We picked out a set that fit and they took the old one out and deliveredthe new one on the same day.

Everyone was so accomodating. This was our first experience at Bernie & Phyl’s but it won’t be our last.

I am writing this for my daughter. She wants you to know what a terrific customer service she got from Bernie & Phyl’s. The rep told her that the trundle bed that was purchased last week would be delivered on Monday, 10/4 but the bed did not arrive from North Carolina until after the regular truck left yesterday morning. The rep had a truck return and load the bed up and delivered it yesterday afternoon. My daughter cannot say enough “good things”, about Bernie & Phyl’s. Neither can I. Both of us are very pleased and will relate this experience to all of our friends.

Another loyal customer


Never before have I experienced such professionalism an dcomplete customer service satisfaction…
I decided to buy a new dining room set to put in my new home in Gloucester. My plan was to shop around for the best price. I limited my selection beween Bernie and Phyl’s, Bobs, and those two guys in Natick with the movie theater and roast beef sandwiches.

Fortunately, my first stop was in Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store. I was greeted with a smile by a sales associate named Pauline. She got down to business, asked me what I was looking for and showed me a variety of dining sets. Pauline was pleasant, comfortable and easy to talk to. She asked me my needs and styles preferences and recommended the perfect ste. I loved it immediately. Remember, my only intention was to price the dining room set, not purchase anything. Due to her casual mention of a matching curio in stock and with the directing my attention to the interior light I fell in love and purchased everything. Her sales expertise and winning personality convinced me to not only buy the dining room set and curio cabinite, I also bought a bed nightstand and my sister bought a huge chunky chair - but who’s keeping score?…

Courteous and professional


I would like to express my satisfaction with Larry the Warehouse guy at the Westboro Store. I purchased my side charis via phone order. I drove an hour Saturday night to pick up the chairs, arriving at 8:03pm. Only to find the sign on the door stating pick up stops at 8pm. The girl at the desk told me it was too late, but she would try to locate Larry. She found him and sent us around to pick up the chairs. Having worked in the warehouse of a furniture store myself in the past, I know how frustrating it is to maintain a level of professionalism under these circumstances. Long story short, Larry was very courteous and professional even though it was after hours on a Saturday night.

Family friendly store


I am a professional photographer and had just finished a job nearby the Nashua store. My husband and I have been looking ofr new beds for our 2 young daughters and decided we would just pop in and check out the selection. (Shopping is not usually an enjoyable experience with three children under 7 yrs) and to make matters worse I had to carry all of my equipment with me due to the high temps.

We were greeted with a smile and directed right to the department we needed. The children LOVED the floor… it was very child/family friendly. We found exactly what we were looking for, had a super friendly salesperson, and were fniished within 15 minutes! That is a record for our family!! We enjoyed it so much we browsed other sections. I found many, many ieces to come back for.

There were a couple of manufacturer glitches in a purchase I recently made. It was in no way the fault of Bernie & Phyl’s employees and they were more than accomodating in hlping solve the problem. Great Service


Linda from Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store was a GREAT help to me in my search for a server table to match my dining room set. I was told by the store here in Omaha, Nebraska that it had been discontinued. When I did a search on the internet, I found the server table on www.bernieandphyls.com. I called and Linda gave me another website to look at. when I couldn’t find what I needed on the website I called her back. She returned my call with an 800# for the manufactuerer. They pointed me back to Omaha at the original store I had been to who was misinformed about the item that was NOT discontinued.

Another satisfied Customer!


We had our first experience this past Saturday. We can’t say enough good things about our visit. My husband’s upcoming surgery prompted us to purchase a recliner, on short notice and with a few specifics, i.e.: in store stock, color and delivery within a week! A tall order but our salesperson, Pauline in the Saugus store was top notch! She realized our situation and sure enough called up Monday 6/28 and we had a scheduled delivery for today, 6/29! We can’t say enough about Pauline’s kindness, concern and open friendliness.

I promised her I would not laugh at Bernie & Phyl’s TV ads anymore if she were able to deliver us the chair really soon! Actually we love the ads – especially with the little ones jumping on the beds. (Grandkids I suspect).

To be sure, we’ll be back!

I called in an addition to our furniture order and the sales rep not only added our order to the original furniture, but also got us the delivery date we asked for. The date on the computer was a month away and she made a phone call to make the delivery this week. I was just so impressed that she would go out of her way for someone on the phone. My experience with Bernie & Phyl’s was wonderful.


I placed an order on Tuesday, February 3, 20044 and it was delivered today. My experience with Bernie & Phyl’s was wonderful. The salesperson contacted me immediately on Tuesday to set up the delivery.

The delivery men were polite, helpful and very gentle in handling the furniture.

I am not used to things going this smoothly.

They also have a great website. The website is what sold me at first, it is much easier to view their items then it was to use Jordan’s furniture website.

Bernie & Phyl’s has a customer for life!


My salesperson was truly fantastic. We’ve had a number of problems with our order over the last month or two (delivery date was longer than expected, a mis-understanding on the item we ordered etc) and she went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out and make sure we ultimately received the item that we were looking for.

She had great phone sales skills- and more important than just being a good salesperson, she is empathetic and truly puts the customer first. In my opinion, this is just as important (maybe much more important than the actual furniture – or the low prices) She truly added a lot of value to the sales and buying experience.

Livingroom set was $407 cheaper then similar set at Bob’s Discount

We had a phenomenal shopping experience in the Nashua store last week.

We started out at one of Bernie & Phyl’s competitors (Bob’s Furniture) where we were told to “Shop around, you won’t find a better price…” and “Furniture World is down the street, go check them out.” Well I don’t think the salesman would have said that if there was a Bernie & Phyl’s in Salem. He clearly did not expect us to go to Nashua. Now I can tell you as I told the salesman, that we got a VERY SIMILAR living room set to the one at Bob’s and all inclusive it was $407.00 CHEAPER!!! THAT IS AN UNBELIEVABLE 31%. The one at Bob’s was a “No Name” brand, but the one we purchased at your location as name branded quality merchandise from England Corp.

Now, for the salesman. His name was Jack Norton, and I can promise you WILL NOT find a more knowledgeable, witty, humorous, down to earth individual at any of the other locations! Jack walked around with us, gave us his HONEST opinion on things, and did not pressure us to buy. Jack spent about an hour and 15 minutes with us with no pressure a all. At times we would all sit down on the couches almost as if we were in our home and he had come to visit. This made me feel very comfortable.

We need another livingroom set (more format this time) in the spring and WE WILL NOT EVEN SHOP AROUND! WE WILL DRIVE DIRECTLY TO BERNIE & PHYL’S AND WE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO JACK NORTON! We won’t have to worry about hearing about somebody’s “underprices” or “rock bottom deals” or even hear someone say “How do you do it?”. I can simply go and shop hassle free knowing I got a fair deal.

On Friday August 29, 2003 we received delivery of our new dinette set purchased at Bernie & Phyl’s Cambridge store. The courtesy, efficiency, and care in handling and setting up our new set by the young delivery men was a pleasure to see.

We would be remiss if we failed to mention our sales representative in the Cambridge store. My wife Cathy and I were first time visitors to Bernie & Phyl’s and he made it a pleasure. We were allowed to browse around, collect our thoughts and make our selection without any pressure. His patience and clarity while fully answering our questions was appreciated.

We recently visited the Bernie and Phyl’s in Westboro and purchased a couch and a table. Our sales person was so kind and very patient with us. She stayed beyond her shift to help us make the right choice for our home. It was a Saturday night, and I’m sure she had a busy day. This made our experience very “personal”, and comfortable, she was not pushy or rushing us to purchase. Because of the way she represented Bernieand Phyl’s, we feel confident about our purchases and plan on furnishing the rest of our home with bernie/phyls fine quality furniture. I will no longer shop anywhere else for my home furnishing needs


One of Bernie & Phyl’s customer service representatives, Donna Smith, recently handled a problem for me. I had purchased a leather living room set and paid for the extended warranty. The couch was damaged just days after I accepted delivery. The circumstances of the damage are not important, but the good service and support I received from Donna are.

At first it was not clear to Donna if the damage was covered under the warranty. She started to explain to me that it was not. I did become very upset and probably raised my voice. Donna remained calm and listened. It was her professional ability to get through my emotions and listen to the facts that helped resolve the problem.

In my response I mentioned that there had been an attempt by a repair technician to fix the damage and that he removed more dye from the couch. Had Donna reacted to my outburst she may have not heard this important piece of information. She let me know that she would review the case and get back to me.

Literally ½ hour passed when I received a call back from the shipping department to confirm delivery of a new couch. I could not believe it! She not only resolved my complaint but had expedited the delivery of the new furniture.

Donna then called me back – again a true professional – to explain what she had done. Of course I already knew.

I am a recruiter in HealthCare and hire CSR’s. It is with total conviction that I tell you – Donna is rare. If she worked in HealthCare I would have tried to hire her.

When a consumer decides to purchase furniture, the price and quality are just part of the decision process. How the company stands behind the product and provides customer service is the other. I will no longer shop anywhere else for my home furnishing needs.

Fixed a chair I bought over 2 years ago at no charge


I bought a chair over 2 years ago. It is a recliner/rocker. It wouldn’t rock anymore. I myself am in retail and know how difficult it can be to please people. I would never have called, but was urged by a friend. I asked if there was anything that could be done. The reply was, “of course” They came to my house, fixed the chair at no charge. I was shocked. That is unbelievable customer service. Believe me, my future furniture purchases with be through Bernie & Phyl’s and I will be HIGHLY recommending their store to my friends.

They repaired furniture even though warranty had lapsed


I had a service call on Thursday March 27 and although my warranty had lapsed they repaired 2 chairs and were able to get the leaf in the table to work. He was very cheerful and solved the problems for us. Bernie & Phyl’s has wonderful service and goes the extra mile to make their customers feel appreciated. I had such a nice experience at Bernie and Phyls!


I had such a pleasant shopping experience with Bernie and Phyls. I recently purchased a couch, loveseat and cocktail table from their Westborough store. Every step of the way - from Sales to Customer Service to Delivery - their employees were extremely friendly and helpful. WHAT A TREAT! Even when my cocktail table arrived with some minor damage, their Customer Service Department reacted quickly and efficiently and most importantly, to my complete satisfaction!

I had such a nice experience with Bernie and Phyls when buying my living room set, I didn’t consider going anywhere else when purchasing my kitchen set. It is reassuring to know that there are some companies that still value their customers.

We’ll only do business with Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture


We recently purchased a leather sofa and chair from Bernie and Phyls Saugus location. We had some initial concerns after delivery and returned to the store later for service and help. Our salesperson was Tom. I can soy overwhelmingly, that not only was our initial purchase professional and pleasant, but our return concerns were met with the same professionalism and pleasantry as our first visit. Our needs were met. The staff finalizing invoicing and even the man that put the prints in our auto at shipping were great.

Let me say that we have further purchases to make (recently purchased a hope in Hampton, N.H.) and we’ll only do business with Bernie and Phyl’s not only for the fine array of quality, affordable selections, but also because of the professional, knowledgable, pleasant and very funny sales and support staff. Quality, comfort and price!


On Sunday, January 5th my wife and I were shopping for a new living room set.

We went to Bernie and Phyls Westboro store and started looking at sets. At no time did a salesperson come barging over and take the “I’m gonna sell you that living room set” attitude. In fact, the sales force stated if at any time we needed assistance just to let us know. After checking out what was available we found a set that interested us. We were lucky enough to summon Darrin MacConnell for assistance. Darrin was very ehlpful and offered us information on the products we were interested in. He also provided us with a pleasant atmosphere to check out fabrics that would be available in the furniture we were considering. After a short while, we made our decision and called Darrin back over. Again, very cooperative and helpful.

We made our decision to take advantage of the 0 down payment and 0% financing for one year. Darrin once again, very helpful in assisting us. While Darrin was processing the application my wife and I talked about the pleasant experience, the “quality, confort and price” and our overall impression of Bernie & Phyl’s along with Darring’s attitude. Because of all this we decided to purchase a full dining room set as well. Once again, Darrin with no “hard selling” techniques, just GREAT customer service.
I have been in customer service my entire adult life and I believe ti’s only right to recognize GREAT service.

Polite, friendly, professional help and Bernie & Phyl’s


My husband and I built some condominiums in West Groton, Massachusetts last year and furnished two models. Most of the furniture was purchased at Bernie & Phyl’s stores. In that process of selecting and purchasing appropriate pieces, we had the distinct pleasure of being served by Bernie & Phyl’s sales associate, Greg Varnum.

Mr. Varnum’s polite, friendly, and throughly professional manner made what could have been a tiresome chore a fulfilling experience. He not only helped with the selections, but also coordinated the process smoothly, ordering some pieces from other Bernie & Phyl’s locations when necessary and carefully handling the shipping and the deliveries on the other end where, at most times, he had to coordinate with our construction supervisor. Everything went smoothly and professinoally because he cared enough about his job the right way. And of course, the models showed well!

We more than appreciated having that quality of service available to us at a time when we were so busy. Whenever we shop furniture again, we’ll head first to Bernie & Phyl’s and seek out his fine professiona help.

Bernie and Phyls has the best customer service…


I have several pieces from Bernie & Phyl’s which I love very much. Unfortunately, I have had a few problems with the delivery of damaged items. Because I have received damaged items, I have been forced to contact Bernie and Phyl’s customer support department on several occassions. I would like to tell you that they have THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Their support staff displayed a tremendous attitude, aptitude and professionalism that I have not come across anywhere else. In making my phone calls, I was in an agitated mood, but these individuals made me feel confident that they were doing whatever they needed to do to correct the problem. I left every conversation feeling satisfied with my repeated decision to shop at Bernie & Phyl’s. If I had experienced the mishaps of damaged goods from any other company, I assure you, they would never see my business again. Next time I purchase at Bernie and Phyl’s I hope the piece is delivered successfully the first time but, even if it isn’t, I know these guys will fix it.

Impressed with Bernie & Phyl’s sales help


I called Bernie and Phyl’s Saugus location yesterday in search of what I refer to as “picture boxes” (large but fairly flat boxes in which to ship framed artwork when moving). I was relayed to Jim in the warehouse, who was very helpful on the telephone. He knew what I was looking for and was kind enough to offer to save these kinds of boxes for me when he got them in. Then he told me he had some coffee table boxes that might work for me.

So I drove to the store to see what he had on hand, and I found Jim around the back, where he told me he’d be. He invited me in and showed me not one or tow, but three nice boxes he had put aside for me. ( I didn’t realize how big the obxes would be, and as it turned out, one did the trick for my shipping needs.) Jim had even saved the styrofoam sheets and bubblewrap that are used to protect furniture during shipment, and he gave me that as well. Then he carried the box out to my car and placed it in my trunk, tying it down with twine.

I was very impressed, especially considering the fact that I’m not even a customer of Berne & Phyl’s! I can tell you that this experience was very positive and I would certainly give Bernie & Phyl’s my consideration when purchasing furniture in the future.

Excellent shopping experience at Bernie & Phyls


My husband and I just bought a home in Marblehead, we are from California. Friends told us to go to Bernie and Phyls to buy furniture for our home. We had an excellent shopping experience. I would totally recommend Bernie & Phyls to anyone shopping for home furnishings.

Our sales associate was great. He did not pressure us and was friendly and really helped us make our decisions. We ended up with 2 king size mattresses and a dining table with 4 chairs. We have only just begun to decorate our home and we will be back to Bernie and Phyls to complete our decorating.

It is rare these days to get sales people who are knowledgeable, friendly and who care about their customer.

Thrilled with Bernie & Phyl’s service


I was so thrilled with the complete and professional service I received at Bernie & Phyl’s. I had placed an order with Bob’s and was told it would be 6 weeks before they would have my furniture. I was fine with that until 6 weeks turned into 3 months. I do understand about back orders from manufacturers but what I didn’t understand was the lack of communication from Bob’s.
I did eventually get a call from Bob’s setting up the long awaited deliver of my furniture but when they came half of the furniture wasn’t there and what was there wasn’t in good shape. I called Bob’s and am not getting far with them.

In comes the hero’s Bernie & Phyl’s to save the day! I came in on a Wednesday and had my furniture delivered the next day on a Thursday. Wow! My salesperson was great and I can’t rave enough about the drivers. They were courtious, kind, thorough, profesional and on time.

I am spreading the word to anyone I know to shop at Bernie and Phyls furniture


I recently bought a curio cabinet at Bernie and Phyl’s Nashua store.

I went in the store on a Sunday afternoon. A woman came over and took me over to look at the selection. After I looked for a few minutes I was going to check out other stores. She told me her name (which I’ve forgotten) and I left.

I went around to other stores in the area and returned. The first woman was tied up with another customer so she told another woman to take over. The second woman was Alison. Both women were extremely helpful without being pushy. I appreciated the treatment I received.

But it continued. The woman at the sales desk was also polite and friendly.

The delivery men also were helpful . The man in charge bent over a little extra when I told him I was a single senior woman alone. He set the cabinet right in the corner and pulled the pins that hold the shelves for me.

Not too long ago I had dealings with another local furniture store. My dealings there were ok, but after the treatment I received and Bernie and Phyl’s, I am spreading the word to anyone I know to shop there.

Bernie & Phyl’s deserves and A+ for this transaction


I’ve always believed that quality customer service can make or break a business. I wanted to drop you a quick not to share with you my experience with Bernie & Phyl’s in the last 36 hours.

I spent a few hours on Friday browsing websites, including yours, for a new bed. I’d never made a large purchase online previously and was skeptical at how this might go at first, but decided to attempt to buy a bed from Bernie & Phyl’s via their website.

The entire staff should be commended for making this a great experience. Within an hour of selecting my bed a customer service rep called me to confirm my order. A short time later, Clyde in the shipping department called me to arrange delivery for today… a Saturday… I couldn’t believe it! Clyde advised that my bed would be delivered on the following morning between 10AM and 2PM. My bed arrived well within that window and in no time, the delivery team had my bed assembled where I wanted it, were able to accept a credit card payment, and removed all the trash before heading on to their next stop.

Bernie & Phyl’s deserves an A+ for this transaction. All that I mentioned and only $25 to have the bed delivered and assembled!

I was absolutely delighted with Bernie & Phyl’s!


I was absolutely delighted with Bernie & Phyl’s! My salesman was exceptionally kind and courteous. He allowed me to sit in the sofa in the store for an hour with my knitting and even offered me a blanket & tea. He was fantastic. My sofa was delivered yesterday and the delivery men were wonderful. I have never seen anyone that young be so kind, pleasant and professional. They had to put the sofa through the window which I was nervous about, but they got it in with no problems. They put my window back in and put my curtain back up. They also removed my old sofa. I will never be buying furniture from anyone else but Bernie & Phyl’s again and have been telling all my friends and neighbors how great they are. All the Bernie & Phyl’s customers deserve a week at the Bahamas!

I recently purchased my bedroom furniture Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus, MA location. I bought the Quaker Ridge furniture (love the pencil post bed!!!), and I’m thrilled!

I have to admit that I wasn’t really expecting to find solid wood furniture at their store. (, just thought that was only possible at the more high-end type stores), and was very excited when I realized it was maple. So far, we are very pleased with the quality craftsmanship of the pieces we decided to own. Of course it’s only been a week, but I don’t anticipate/hope that doesn’t change.

The reason I am writing today at all, is to comment on the couple of “people” experiences I had during the process of buying my furniture. I was meandering around looking at the bedroom displays, when along came Lourde Peck to ask if I needed any help. Boy, did I get help, and then some! She was fantastic! I felt as though she was not pushy at all, was willing to help in any way possible and was very knowledgeable (& when she wasn’t 100% sure, sought out the information necessary). I had a very good idea about what I wanted when I arrived, but it sure was nice to have someone available that was able to help me out when I needed it.

As to the delivery process, Mark called about 30-45 minutes ahead of time to say he was on his way. He showed up when he said he would (with another delivery person whose name I did get at all, again,-apologies), and they were also great! When he called, I told him that we lived on a very narrow dead end dirt road and that we could use my husband’s pick up buck to load the furniture at the main road & then drive down to our house if necessary. Didn’t even know they were here until Mark’s delivery partner came walking down the driveway with a small piece of the delivery. Mark had managed to maneuver the truck down at least to the end of our driveway! They were very polite, efficient & most importantly, careful.

I’ll be sure to make Bernie & Phyl’s one of my first looks when I decide I need something new.

By the way, I had spotted my bedroom furniture on their website about 4-6 months ago and had forgotten about it when I showed up at the store. I didn’t realize it was that furniture until I ordered it the same day and then came home to look at it online.

I recommend Bernie & Phyl’s to anyone


I ended up at your tore in their Saugus by chance - I-had purchased Broyhill furniture from a different store - long story short, my 6 weeks for delivery turned into 14 weeks at the last minute meantime - I had 30 people coming over with no furniture!
I shopped at your store and had my furniture within a week (in time for my party!). On top of that, once I got my furniture I realized I needed another coffee table - and got it within another few days.

I was most impressed with the delivery. We had a terrible snow storm the day before - over 5 inches -and was sure my furniture would not be delivered. Not only was it delivered - the men shoveled a path from my front yard to back porch for easier delivery. They also moved an old sofa from the room for me.

I was very pleased with my entire experience - but most impressed with the delivery - and I’ll definitely do more business with their store. I recommend Bernie & Phyls to anyone I know looking for furniture.

I just bought furniture for the very first time online


I just bought furniture for the very first time online via Bernie & Phyl’s website. I hesitated since I was buying without seeing but figured that sometimes buying furniture that you see doesn’t always ‘fit the bill’ either and was willing to take the chance.
It was pictured well and fit my choice of decor. It was a great experience from the ease of using their website and checkout, to the prompt customer service I received the next day to set up delivery. The furniture was delivered today by two very pleasant men who set it up for me. I will recommend Bernie & Phyl’s to anyone and will definitely use their services again.

Good experience buying furniture


I just wanted to let you know what a good experience we had buying furniture at the Westboro store. The living room furniture ended up being way too big for the room. We explained this to the customer service rep and she couldn’t have been nicer. We picked out a set that fit and they took the old one out and deliveredthe new one on the same day.

Everyone was so accomodating. This was our first experience at Bernie & Phyl’s but it won’t be our last.

I am writing this for my daughter. She wants you to know what a terrific customer service she got from Bernie & Phyl’s. The rep told her that the trundle bed that was purchased last week would be delivered on Monday, 10/4 but the bed did not arrive from North Carolina until after the regular truck left yesterday morning. The rep had a truck return and load the bed up and delivered it yesterday afternoon. My daughter cannot say enough “good things”, about Bernie & Phyl’s. Neither can I. Both of us are very pleased and will relate this experience to all of our friends.

Family friendly store


I am a professional photographer and had just finished a job nearby the Nashua store. My husband and I have been looking ofr new beds for our 2 young daughters and decided we would just pop in and check out the selection. (Shopping is not usually an enjoyable experience with three children under 7 yrs) and to make matters worse I had to carry all of my equipment with me due to the high temps.

We were greeted with a smile and directed right to the department we needed. The children LOVED the floor… it was very child/family friendly. We found exactly what we were looking for, had a super friendly salesperson, and were fniished within 15 minutes! That is a record for our family!! We enjoyed it so much we browsed other sections. I found many, many ieces to come back for.

I placed an order on Tuesday, February 3, 20044 and it was delivered today. My experience with Bernie & Phyl’s was wonderful. The salesperson contacted me immediately on Tuesday to set up the delivery.

The delivery men were polite, helpful and very gentle in handling the furniture.

I am not used to things going this smoothly.

They also have a great website. The website is what sold me at first, it is much easier to view their items then it was to use Jordan’s furniture website.

I just wanted to tell you that I had not really shopped for furniture….anywhere before 2005 when my husband was in Iraq.I started shopping at Bernie and Phyls and purchased 2 pieces and was very happy with the service at the Nashua store and the salesman WILL……..

I then wound up getting 2 more pieces for my son and then another recliner for my husband.
The delivery people were VERY nice. I intend to ALWAYS but my furniture at Bernie and Phyls.

I was absolutely delighted with Bernie & Phyl’s! My salesman was exceptionally kind and courteous. He allowed me to sit in the sofa in the store for an hour with my knitting and even offered me a blanket & tea. He was fantastic. My sofa was delivered yesterday and the delivery men were wonderful. I have never seen anyone that young be so kind, pleasant and professional. They had to put the sofa through the window which I was nervous about, but they got it in with no problems. They put my window back in and put my curtain back up. They also removed my old sofa. I will never be buying furniture from anyone else but Bernie & Phyl’s again and have been telling all my friends and neighbors how great they are. All the Bernie & Phyl’s customers deserve a week at the Bahamas!

A few comments…


I recently purchased a living room set from Bernie & Phyl’s Nashua location, and wanted to share a few observations I had. My salesperson’s name was Will. He was very attentive without being pushy and also very knowledgeable about both the products and inventory availability. He provided much needed insight and making the whole buying experience painless.

The store is set-up to be very customer friendly. I had no difficulty at all finding what I was looking for. As a customer I truly appreciate the effort that has been extended providing an extensive showroom.

Last, but surely not least, as a customer service manager for over 8 years I realize how demanding today’s consumer is and what it takes to keep them happy and coming back. As long as they keep employees like Will and locations such as their Nashua store Bernie & Phyl’s should have a great future!

Another loyal customer


Never before have I experienced such professionalism an dcomplete customer service satisfaction…
I decided to buy a new dining room set to put in my new home in Gloucester. My plan was to shop around for the best price. I limited my selection beween Bernie and Phyl’s, Bobs, and those two guys in Natick with the movie theater and roast beef sandwiches.

Fortunately, my first stop was in Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store. I was greeted with a smile by a sales associate named Pauline. She got down to business, asked me what I was looking for and showed me a variety of dining sets. Pauline was pleasant, comfortable and easy to talk to. She asked me my needs and styles preferences and recommended the perfect ste. I loved it immediately. Remember, my only intention was to price the dining room set, not purchase anything. Due to her casual mention of a matching curio in stock and with the directing my attention to the interior light I fell in love and purchased everything. Her sales expertise and winning personality convinced me to not only buy the dining room set and curio cabinite, I also bought a bed nightstand and my sister bought a huge chunky chair - but who’s keeping score?…

Livingroom set was $407 cheaper then similar set at Bob’s Discount


We had a phenomenal shopping experience in the Nashua store last week.

We started out at one of Bernie & Phyl’s competitors (Bob’s Furniture) where we were told to “Shop around, you won’t find a better price…” and “Furniture World is down the street, go check them out.” Well I don’t think the salesman would have said that if there was a Bernie & Phyl’s in Salem. He clearly did not expect us to go to Nashua. Now I can tell you as I told the salesman, that we got a VERY SIMILAR living room set to the one at Bob’s and all inclusive it was $407.00 CHEAPER!!! THAT IS AN UNBELIEVABLE 31%. The one at Bob’s was a “No Name” brand, but the one we purchased at your location as name branded quality merchandise from England Corp.

Now, for the salesman. His name was Jack Norton, and I can promise you WILL NOT find a more knowledgeable, witty, humorous, down to earth individual at any of the other locations! Jack walked around with us, gave us his HONEST opinion on things, and did not pressure us to buy. Jack spent about an hour and 15 minutes with us with no pressure a all. At times we would all sit down on the couches almost as if we were in our home and he had come to visit. This made me feel very comfortable.

We need another livingroom set (more format this time) in the spring and WE WILL NOT EVEN SHOP AROUND! WE WILL DRIVE DIRECTLY TO BERNIE & PHYL’S AND WE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO JACK NORTON! We won’t have to worry about hearing about somebody’s “underprices” or “rock bottom deals” or even hear someone say “How do you do it?”. I can simply go and shop hassle free knowing I got a fair deal.

We’ll only do business with Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture


We recently purchased a leather sofa and chair from Bernie and Phyls Saugus location. We had some initial concerns after delivery and returned to the store later for service and help. Our salesperson was Tom. I can soy overwhelmingly, that not only was our initial purchase professional and pleasant, but our return concerns were met with the same professionalism and pleasantry as our first visit. Our needs were met. The staff finalizing invoicing and even the man that put the prints in our auto at shipping were great.

Let me say that we have further purchases to make (recently purchased a hope in Hampton, N.H.) and we’ll only do business with Bernie and Phyl’s not only for the fine array of quality, affordable selections, but also because of the professional, knowledgable, pleasant and very funny sales and support staff. AND THEIR COFFEE’S GOOD TOO. Let me say, also, that I stopped in Bob’s as well as I was shopping for price and quality. BUT BERNIE AND PHYL’S GOT US NOW!!! SERVICE IS SOOOO IMPORTANT.

Excellent shopping experience at Bernie & Phyls


My husband and I just bought a home in Marblehead, we are from California. Friends told us to go to Bernie and Phyls to buy furniture for our home. We had an excellent shopping experience. I would totally recommend Bernie & Phyls to anyone shopping for home furnishings.

Our sales associate was great. He did not pressure us and was friendly and really helped us make our decisions. We ended up with 2 king size mattresses and a dining table with 4 chairs. We have only just begun to decorate our home and we will be back to Bernie and Phyls to complete our decorating.

It is rare these days to get sales people who are knowledgeable, friendly and who care about their customer.

Thrilled with Bernie & Phyl’s service


I was so thrilled with the complete and professional service I received at Bernie & Phyl’s. I had placed an order with Bob’s and was told it would be 6 weeks before they would have my furniture. I was fine with that until 6 weeks turned into 3 months. I do understand about back orders from manufacturers but what I didn’t understand was the lack of communication from Bob’s.
I did eventually get a call from Bob’s setting up the long awaited deliver of my furniture but when they came half of the furniture wasn’t there and what was there wasn’t in good shape. I called Bob’s and am not getting far with them.

In comes the hero’s Bernie & Phyl’s to save the day! I came in on a Wednesday and had my furniture delivered the next day on a Thursday. Wow! My salesperson was great and I can’t rave enough about the drivers. They were courtious, kind, thorough, profesional and on time.

They repaired furniture even though warranty had lapsed


I had a service call on Thursday March 27 and although my warranty had lapsed they repaired 2 chairs and were able to get the leaf in the table to work. Great customer service!


I just wanted to send a letter on a great experience I had in one of Bernie & Phyl’s stores. I am an Interior Designer and I was in the Westboro store looking for some tables. I was helped immediately by a salespersnon named Al. he was extremely helpful. When I came to pick them up they both came in damaged. I was a little concerned because I was working off of a time frame with a client. There was only 1 table in the warehouse which means it would have been weeks before I could get these tables. June who was contacted was very accommodating by letting me purchase the floor model. I have never had a furniture store do that. I was also in a bind trying to find plants for this office space. I was inquiring to June about not being able to find good ones, and there were some great looking trees in your store. June was so helpful with adjusting the price to fit the budget I was working with. I bought 6 form her and a pair of lamps. June actually had to get 1 of the lamps form another location because there was only 1 in this store.

The end result is that because of June and the staff, I met my deadline, found everything I needed within 1 location, and had great customer service!!!

I’m now a new customer to Bernie & Phyl’s and I commend them and their staff at the Westboro location.

I am spreading the word to anyone I know to shop at Bernie and Phyls furniture


I recently bought a curio cabinet at Bernie and Phyl’s Nashua store.

I went in the store on a Sunday afternoon. A woman came over and took me over to look at the selection. After I looked for a few minutes I was going to check out other stores. She told me her name (which I’ve forgotten) and I left.
I went around to other stores in the area and returned. The first woman was tied up with another customer so she told another woman to take over. The second woman was Alison. Both women were extremely helpful without being pushy. I appreciated the treatment I received.

But it continued. The woman at the sales desk was also polite and friendly.

The delivery men also were helpful . The man in charge bent over a little extra when I told him I was a single senior woman alone. He set the cabinet right in the corner and pulled the pins that hold the shelves for me.

Not too long ago I had dealings with another local furniture store. My dealings there were ok, but after the treatment I received and Bernie and Phyl’s, I am spreading the word to anyone I know to shop there.

I recently purchased my bedroom furniture Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus, MA location. I bought the Quaker Ridge furniture (love the pencil post bed!!!), and I’m thrilled!

I have to admit that I wasn’t really expecting to find solid wood furniture at their store. (, just thought that was only possible at the more high-end type stores), and was very excited when I realized it was maple. So far, we are very pleased with the quality craftsmanship of the pieces we decided to own. Of course it’s only been a week, but I don’t anticipate/hope that doesn’t change.

The reason I am writing today at all, is to comment on the couple of “people” experiences I had during the process of buying my furniture. I was meandering around looking at the bedroom displays, when along came Lourde Peck to ask if I needed any help. Boy, did I get help, and then some! She was fantastic! I felt as though she was not pushy at all, was willing to help in any way possible and was very knowledgeable (& when she wasn’t 100% sure, sought out the information necessary). I had a very good idea about what I wanted when I arrived, but it sure was nice to have someone available that was able to help me out when I needed it.

As to the delivery process, Mark called about 30-45 minutes ahead of time to say he was on his way. He showed up when he said he would (with another delivery person whose name I did get at all, again,-apologies), and they were also great! When he called, I told him that we lived on a very narrow dead end dirt road and that we could use my husband’s pick up buck to load the furniture at the main road & then drive down to our house if necessary. Didn’t even know they were here until Mark’s delivery partner came walking down the driveway with a small piece of the delivery. Mark had managed to maneuver the truck down at least to the end of our driveway! They were very polite, efficient & most importantly, careful.

I’ll be sure to make Bernie & Phyl’s one of my first looks when I decide I need something new.

By the way, I had spotted my bedroom furniture on their website about 4-6 months ago and had forgotten about it when I showed up at the store. I didn’t realize it was that furniture until I ordered it the same day and then came home to look at it online.

Sales associate went above and beyond the call of duty


My husband and I purchased a glider for my daughter on June 10th at Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store. It was a surprise for her baby shower. Our sales associate was most helpful. Once we purchased the chair I realized I didn’t have my camera with me. I wanted a picture of the chair to wrap so I could give it to my daughter at her baby shower. When we were doing the paperwork our saleswoman went into the office and came out with a camera and off she went. She went and took a picture of the glider for me and a wonderful gentleman in the office printed the picture! This was above and beyond the call of duty! I never asked her to do that. She was wonderful. It was my first experience at Bernie & Phyl’s but certainly won’t be my last.

Pleased with sales assistance


We would like to tell you about a good experience we had with Bernie & Phyl’s Nashua store. My husband and I purchased a china cabinet last year from the clearance section after seeing a dining set we liked on the main show floor. We decided that we did not need the dining table and chairs but had every intention on selecting the server that matched the cabinet, since that’s what we liked best of the whole set. We were in the process Of moving from the Nashua area to the Lakes Region so it was difficult to get in the store to purchase the server. At Christmas time we finally went into the store and noticed that the whole dining set was gone. We were soon told that it had been discontinued. You can imagine our disappointment. Their staff did everything possible to help locate a server for us from their other stores or warehouse but to no avail. This did not make our holiday season go well but we continued to check out other stores to see if we could find a match. NO LUCK! After this experience we decided to go back to Bernie & Phyl’s store to purchase the entertainment unit we decided on before it could have been discontinued also. While we were looking around a very kind gentleman asked if he could help us. His name is CHUCK ANDERSON. We told him what we wanted and he proceeded to make a sale on the entertainment unit. While he was doing that we mentioned our server dilemma and he said let me see what I can do. I might be able to find you one. He checked and checked and made sure it matched our existing china cabinet and like magic he found a brand new one in a warehouse on clearance. This was on January 3, 2005. Chuck absolutely made our new year bright.

Wonderful Sales Associate


I would like to tell you about a very positive experience my husband and I had last Saturday afternoon at Bernie & Phyl’s Saugus store We were shopping for a reclining loveseat and had been to Jordan’s Furniture and Bob’s Discount Furniture. We stopped in the Saugus store since we were in the area and spoke to Jack Early. He was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, spent about two hours with us while we sat on every reclining loveseat in the store and asked every question we could think of. He wrote down vital information for us on his business card.

We are not prone to impulse shopping, so we left the store with a firm and friendly handshake and a nice smile from Mr. Early. We did not feel pressure from him at all.

On Sunday, we decided to go to Nashua to explore more furniture stores. The first store we went into was Jordan’s. We again sat on lots of reclining loveseats and actually had the sales associate ask us bluntly If we were ready to buy. When we hesitated, she told us that she needed to assist other customers! We left the store and then went to Bernie & Phyl’s Nashua store. We wandered about and sat on different loveseats and then found the same loveseat that we liked the best on Saturday (thanks to Mr. Early’s note on his business card). The sales associate was very friendly and we decided to buy it. The sales clerk told us exactly the same information that Mr. Early gave us.

Since we are going to pick up the reclining loveseat from the store ourselves, we decided to save the $40.00 delivery charge and by going to Nashua we will save on the sales tax (about another $40.00). A penny saved is a - penny earned!

Family friendly store


I am a professional photographer and had just finished a job nearby the Nashua store. My husband and I have been looking ofr new beds for our 2 young daughters and decided we would just pop in and check out the selection. (Shopping is not usually an enjoyable experience with three children under 7 yrs) and to make matters worse I had to carry all of my equipment with me due to the high temps.

We were greeted with a smile and directed right to the department we needed. The children LOVED the floor… it was very child/family friendly. We found exactly what we were looking for, had a super friendly salesperson, and were fniished within 15 minutes! That is a record for our family!! We enjoyed it so much we browsed other sections. I found many, many ieces to come back for.

The sale was perfect start to finish


The sofa we bought from their Westboro store just arrived yesterday. The sale, start to finish went perfect. We love our new sofa. We like to buy but we don’t like to be sold. We always like the treatment we get at Bernie & Phyl’s Westboro store. Delivery was stated and on time.

My experience with Bernie & Phyl’s was wonderful.


I placed an order on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 and it was delivered today. My experience with Bernie & Phyl’s was wonderful. The salesperson contacted me immediately on Tuesday to set up the delivery.

The delivery men were polite, helpful and very gentle in handling the furniture.

I am not used to things going this smoothly.

They also have a great website. The website is what sold me at first, it is much easier to view their items then it was to use Jordan’s furniture website.

Bernie & Phyl’s has a customer for life!


My salesperson was truly fantastic. We’ve had a number of problems with our order over the last month or two (delivery date was longer than expected, a mis-understanding on the item we ordered etc) and she went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out and make sure we ultimately received the item that we were looking for.

She had great phone sales skills- and more important than just being a good salesperson, she is empathetic and truly puts the customer first. In my opinion, this is just as important (maybe much more important than the actual furniture – or the low prices) She truly added a lot of value to the sales and buying experience.

Bernie & Phyl’s has a customer for life!

Livingroom set was $407 cheaper then similar set at Bob’s Discount


We had a phenomenal shopping experience in the Nashua store last week.

We started out at one of Bernie & Phyl’s competitors (Bob’s Furniture) where we were told to “Shop around, you won’t find a better price…” and “Furniture World is down the street, go check them out.” Well I don’t think the salesman would have said that if there was a Bernie & Phyl’s in Salem. He clearly did not expect us to go to Nashua. Now I can tell you as I told the salesman, that we got a VERY SIMILAR living room set to the one at Bob’s and all inclusive it was $407.00 CHEAPER!!! THAT IS AN UNBELIEVABLE 31%. The one at Bob’s was a “No Name” brand, but the one we purchased at your location as name branded quality merchandise from England Corp.

Now, for the salesman. His name was Jack Norton, and I can promise you WILL NOT find a more knowledgeable, witty, humorous, down to earth individual at any of the other locations! Jack walked around with us, gave us his HONEST opinion on things, and did not pressure us to buy. Jack spent about an hour and 15 minutes with us with no pressure a all. At times we would all sit down on the couches almost as if we were in our home and he had come to visit. This made me feel very comfortable.

We need another livingroom set (more format this time) in the spring and WE WILL NOT EVEN SHOP AROUND! WE WILL DRIVE DIRECTLY TO BERNIE & PHYL’S AND WE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO JACK NORTON! We won’t have to worry about hearing about somebody’s “underprices” or “rock bottom deals” or even hear someone say “How do you do it?”. I can simply go and shop hassle free knowing I got a fair deal.

Sales help was extremely helpful & accomodating


I purchased bedroom furniture in the new store in Raynham on August 24th. I wanted to let you know what a pleasurable experience it was. I went to the showroom shortly after it opened and their entire staff was friendly, professional & helpful. After my bureau was delivered I went back and asked if I could exchange it for the larger size of the set. My sales person and the customer service manager were extremely helpful & accommodating.

Bernie & Phyl’s treats seniors as “first class citizens”


On Friday August 29, 2003 we received delivery of our new dinette set purchased at Bernie & Phyl’s Cambridge store. The courtesy, efficiency, and care in handling and setting up our new set by the young delivery men was a pleasure to see.

We would be remiss if we failed to mention our sales representative in the Cambridge store. My wife Cathy and I were first time visitors to Bernie & Phyl’s and he made it a pleasure. We were allowed to browse around, col
