Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture Donates Over 100 Bedspreads to Local Furniture Banks

Norton, MA, February 27, 2006 — Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture recently donated over 100 bedspreads to two local furniture banks, the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless Furniture Bank in Lynn and the Central Mass Housing Alliance Donations Clearing House in Worcester. The bedspreads, which had previously been used in furniture displays in Bernie & Phyl’s stores, will be given free to any person in need of a warm blanket. This donation is one of many that Bernie & Phyl’s regularly makes to organizations serving needy populations across the region.

“When we decided to replace all of the bedspreads in our stores, we thought it would also be a great opportunity to help people in need,” said Bernie Rubin, co-founder and chairman of Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture. “We are happy that our bedspreads will not only keep people warm, but will help make people’s housing accommodations seem more like a home.”
Through its Donations Assistance Program, the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless provides thousands of families making the transition from homelessness into permanent housing with furniture and household goods free of charge. Since 1985, the Donations Clearing House has provided free donated furniture and household goods to over a 1,000 families per year who have been referred by area shelters, neighborhood centers, and health and human service agencies.

Dear Ms. Shore,
On behalf of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County, I would like to thank you and Bernie & Phyl’s for your generous donation of an ottoman, sofa and coffee table. Dear Ms. Blumenthal:

Ms. Amy Blumenthal
Blumenthal Associates
101 Wolcott Street
Chestnut Hill, Ma 02467

Dear Ms. Blumenthal,
I am writing on behalf of the Boston Public Health Commission to thank you and Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture for the kind donation of two bureaus to one of the low income families in our Healthy Homes programs. As you know, this family was in the process of relocating due to unsanitary and over crowded conditions in their apartment. These conditions were exacerbating their young son’s asthma, causing him frequent hospitalizations and emergency room visits. Now, thanks to your generosity, the family has been moved to a renovated two bedroom apartment with two new pest-free bureaus to store their clothes.

An inspector on my staff recently visited the family and was commenting on how beautiful the dressers are. I know the family is thrilled arid appreciates your donation. I also want to thank your assistant Naomi for her role in coordinating the delivery of the furniture.

Very truly yours,
Emily M. Litonjua

Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture
308 East Main Street
Norton, MA 02766

Dear Bernie and Phyllis:
I am writing to thank you for your support of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America and our local alliance, Massachusetts Partners in Prevention. Your involvement in the recent schedule of anti-drug messages on WHDH-TV is a huge step in our efforts to keep the kids of the greater Boston area drug-free.

Though I now live in Maryland, I was raised in Newton. I have received calls ftom friends and relatives in the Boston area to let me know that they saw the anti-drug spots that you tagged. Your personal endorsement, by appearing on camera at the front of the ads is appreciated.
As I am sure you know, a toll-free phone number appears at the end of the commercials to provide a resource for those in crisis or folks who are requesting information. Several people have actually called the toll-free number to voice their appreciation of Bernie and Phyl’s commitment to airing these messages.

It has been a pleasure working with Suzanne Hassett at Channel 7. She did an excellent job in ensuring significant exposure for your messages. Together, Bernie and Phyl’s, WHDH-TV, the Massachusetts Partners in Prevention and the Partnership for a Drug-Free America are making a difference.

Sincerely,

Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for your wonderful donation of a $25 gift certificate for Father Bill’s Place 12th Annual Food Fest & Auction. This is our largest fund-raising effort of the year and we appreciate your support. We realize you receive many requests for assistance throughout the year and are honored that you have chosen to help us. While it seems almost tto trite to say, it is none-the-less true; we couldn’t do it without you! This year our Food Fest & Auction generated more than $330,000.00 to benefit Father Bill’s Place.

We value your faith in us and the work we accomplish on a daily basis. The funds raised through this endeavor will assist us in not only providing the basics such as emergency shelter, but the many “wrap-around” services available at Father Bill’s Place such as mental health counseling, substance abuse intervention, health care, housing search & placement, employment & benefits assistance, and supportive case management. Providing these services, and seeking to make housing available by our own efforts, allows us to meet our goal of reintegrating our guests back into the community… ending homelessness one person at a time, allowing our guest to find a plaace to call home.

Thanks again for your generosity; blessings on your work and efforts.

Many thanks,

Dear Ms. Shore:
The 17th Annual Knock Your Sauce Off event was a remarkable success. This year’s event raised more than $85,000. The auction itself raised more than $10,000 thanks to generous friends like you woh kindly donated wonderful items.

As you know, the dollars raised for research have an immediate and significant impact on the fight against cystic fibrosis (CF). The progress we have witnessed over the past 15 years has been signifiacant. Many people with CF are living longer and healthier lives. Despite that good news, we continue to lost too many young people every day, every year. The CF cure and control cannot come quick enough. Your generous donation brings us closer to our shared dream of cure and control.

Please know how much your support meanst to us. We greatly appreciate your donation and promise to invest the dollars raised as a result in the wisest way possible - to save lives.

Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for supporting the Old Colony Hospice Classic IV. Your donation of a gift certificate, valued at $25.00, and show of support is a terrific addition to the tournament.
On August 17, our full slate of golfers will participate in a great day at Easton Country Club. Following the tournament, golfers and organizers will enjoy dinner and the awards ceremony, in addition to our Auction/Raffle with many sought-after items.

Our goals are two-fold: To provide the players with an enjoyable day and to raise awareness of the benefits of hospice care. Special thanks to you for your donation — it will be received with enthusiasm at the event, and we will list your business as a supporter in our fall newsletter.

This year, Old Colony Hospice will provide highly skilled, compassionate care each day to 80-95 patients and their loved ones. We care for patients with compassion and dignity in their homes and at skilled nursint facilities. Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for your recent donation to the WEIR Corporation’s Thirteenth Annual Taunton River Festival. Your support will assist in making this fundraiser a success.

Due to the inclement weather, the WEIR Corporation had to postpoine the Festival, originally scheduled for June 3, 2006. We have rescheduled theThirteenth Annual Taunton River Festival for September 30, 2006, with a rain date of October 1.

The WEIR Corporation is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven community development corporation whose mission is to revitalize the Weir neighborhood and to assist small businesses to expand by providing financial consulting and small business loans. We are able to accomplish our goals through this fundraiser and small grants that we receive annually. Without the support of individuals, businesses, and organizations like you, it would be difficult for us to fulfill our mission.

Once again, the Board members of the WEIR Corporation and the residents and businesses in the Weir Community thank you for your participation.

Dear Naomi,
On behalf of BELL, thank you for your participation in this year’s Field of Dreams Gala. We are deeply grateful for your contribution made in support of BELL and the Red Sox Scholars Program, an innovative partnership each year providing 25 fifth-grade students the opportunity to attend college. Due to your generosity, this year’s gala raised more than $450,000 to support children in our community.

Thank you also for sharing in BELL’s mission to improve the academic achievements, self-esteem and life opportunities for children living in low-income, urban communities. It was tremendous to hear from fifth grade scholar Stephen Beskalo, Jr. speak about his dreams to become a scientist and cure diseases; and eighth grader Kourtney Lewis speak about her dreams to attend Stanford University and Harvard Law Schook and then become a criminal defense attorney.

At this year’s event, we also paid tribute to the man who helped make BELL possible by serving as its chairman and mentor to CEO Earl Martin Phalen, Professor Charles J. Ogletree. In his name, BELL presented an award to Marian Heard. It was powerful to hear Marian speak so passionately about the work we all do “for the future” — about the importance of education, of becoming involved with local organizations like BELL, and of believing in the tremendous potential within all children.

Thank you agian for attending Field of Dreams. I hope to see you again at next yer’s even. Together we are truly impacting the lives of our community’s greatest asset — children.

Peace,

Dear Ms. Shore,
On behalf of the more than 150 residents and invited guests who attended the Saugus Housing Authority’s 16th Annual Summer Picnic on Wednesday, June 28, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to you for your support.

In addition to the financial assistance provided by several of the local banks and civic organizations throughout Saugus which helped to defer the rising costs of putting on the Summer Picnic, all of the “door prizes” given to many of the tenant’s who attended were donated by the local business community.

Through your continued generosity, our elderly and handicapped residents were able to get together, spend some time with friends and neighbors, have a great lunch and enjoy the day’s festivities!

Once again, thank you for your support.

Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for your generous donation of a $25.00 gift certificate to our Third Annual Raising the Roof Auction and Food Festival. The event was a tremendous success with approximately 200 people in attendance, including local business leaders and Habitat volunteers and supporters. We raised nearly $28,000 which will be used this fall to start a new building project, allowing two more low-income families the opportunity to become homeowners.

Your continued support of Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build simple, decent homes for those in need in Central Massachusetts is graciously appreciated. More than 20 families in Central Massachusetts have already realized their dreams of home ownership through our program of “a hand up, not a hand out.” We consider you a significant asset in our quest to eliminate substandard houseng - one home and one family at a time.

With much appreciation,

Greater Nashua - Relay For Life thanks Bernie & Phyl’s.

There is no way to say “Thank You” that truly portrays how much we appreciate your support. But, we do “Thank you!”

The American Cancer Society, the Greater Nashua Relay For Life, The Playing For a Cure Team, and everyone who has had cancer or has had a family member or friend experience cancer, thanks you for your support!

The 2006 Relay For Life walk was quite differnet this year. We had a torrential downpour that seemed to be a constant this spring. But, we made some changes and had our walk. We moved inside the gym this year for the walk. This was a “first.” A little disappointing in some ways but the weather was bad and threatened to get worse before the night was finished. Better to have healthy, safe people during the walk. The committee did a wonderful job of coordinating all of the special moments of the wwalk. The 16-18 hour walk is really made up of many, many special moments.

Some of the teams backed out. They raised their money but did not participate in the walk. Not the Playing For a Cure team! We had a full team with a lot of extra help during the walk. We didn’t raise as much money as last year, but we came close.

The Luminaria walk was made extra special by the decorated bags with tiny, white lights inserted in the bottom of the bags — lined up around the inner section of they gym floor. The Boy Scouts did an incredible job of decorating, including the word “HOPE” made up of bags, lighted with the glow sticks on the upper portion of the gym. Anoyone who has the opportunity to join us for even just this part of the event, will find it moving and beautiful. A little sad but mostly inspiritng!

The Survivor lap and reception following were very well done. All survivors and family were treated to a wonderful meal supplied by Smoky Bones Restaurant. All Survivors and families were invited to this reception. You don’t need to walk. Let me know if you would like information on attending in 2007.

Next year will be our tenth year as a team, so we will be approaching you for help again. We hope to exceed all our previous efforts. Your continuted support will help us to accomplish this goal.

Think about dropping by to see what we are “all about” or better yet, think about joining our team next year. You do not have to stay the whole 16-18 hours. You can participate for an hour, several hours or whatever fits into your schedule. If you only want to help raise funds, that works too. If you know of a business or group that would like to participate, let me know. If you want someone to speak to a group, we can do that.

I hope that each of you know how much your donation of money, gift certificates, prize donations and support helps to benefit the Relay For Life Walk. your help provides funds for Research, Advocacy, Road to Recovery, Reach to Recovery, Man to Man and many other projects that the American Cancer Society covers. Again, a very big thank you!

Thank you for the encouragement as well as the tangible benefits that your donation provided for all of us who are seeking the cure. It cannot happen without you.

Bernie & Phyl’s contributes to hurricane relief

Dear Naomi Dean,
On behalf of the students and leadership of First Congregational Stdent Ministry we thank you so much for your donation to our recent “Hurricane Extravaganza” fund-raiser event. We raised just over $10,000 which will all be used to fund the clean-up efforts in the New Orleans area. Please consider yourself a partner in these efforts.

What we’re able to raise might seem small compared to the greater need. However, the impact will extend far beyond the spending of the last cent. There is no amount of money that can buy the hope that is given when people care for others in need. Your generous participation in this event will have a value far greater than simply sending a group of teenagers on a trip, it will leave a legacy.

This July, First Congregational Church of Hopkinton is sending a team of 25 high school students and adults this summer to contribute to the restoration and rebuilding effort, partnering with area churches while in New Orleans from July 15 to July 22. Projects for the team may include removing debris, cleaning damage from flooding, gutting homes damaged by flood waters and serving at local food and clothing distribution centers.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture
Blumenthal & Assocates 101 Wolcott Road
Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for supporting our 8th Annual “Stepping Out For Hospice” Memorial Walk. It was an amazing day - and the rain held off! Your recent donation of a gift certificate, valued at $25.00, and show of support was an important addition to our donations. I will list your business as a supporter in our Spring Newsletter.

On April 23, 2006, over 1000 people joined us at Stonehill College as we trekked through the scenic campus. This annual event is a meaningful way for our communities to join with family members and OCH staff, along with corporate and community walk teams, in raising awareness for hospice programs and services.

We are happy to report that the following goals were met:
• To raise $125,00 in support of our programs and services at Old Colony Hospice,
• To spread awareness to the public of the benefits of choosing hospice care for patients, and
• To have an enjoyable day in our community - Music, food, kids corner, raffles & awards.

This year, Old Colony Hospice will provide highly skilled, compassionate care to 80-95 patients, along with their loved ones, each day. We care for patients with compassion and dignity in private homes, as well as skilled nursing facilities. Your donation helps us bridge the gap between what we are paid by insurers and the true cost of providing care and medication during this most difficult phase of life.

Sincere thank for your involvement,
Marilyn A. Jackson
Director of Development

YMCA thanks Bernie & Phyl’s

Dear Bernie and Phyl’s Furniture,
On behalf of the 14,000+ members of the YMCA of Boroughs Family Branch we wish to express our sincere gratitude to you for your generous gift certificate for the Second Annual Spring for Yourth Charity Auction.

Thanks to your generosity the event helped raise over $15,000 for our Annual Partner with Youth Campaign. The Boroughs Family Branch is thrilled to report that they have reached their $60,000 goal! The impact of the annual campaign is significant. In 2005 the YMCA awarded $95,000 in scholarships for youth and families. These scholarships provide many opportunities for those who would otherwise be unable to participate in childcare, teen initiatives and attend summer camp. Equally exciting is the influence that many of these young people have on our community as they develop their leadership and socialization skills.
Again, many thanks for placing the YMCA Boroughs Family Branch among your charitable priorities. We look forward to working with you on the 2007 Spring for Youth Charity Auction! You truly are our partner in our mission to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

Without support like yours, many of the club, camping, and self reliance programs could not continue…

Dear Friend,
Thank you for your generous donation of a $25 Gift Certificate for the Camp Fire Auction. Asking people for donations is one of the most challenging jobs for the volunteers and staff here at Camp Fire. Our committee is willing to ask because they believe so wholly in what Camp Fire achieves for children, whether at a drop-in center, an after school program, or summer camp; and so we ask and hope that everyone is as generous as you. Your donation, given so freely, will be acknowledged at our auction and in our program book. The auction will be held on May 1, 2004, at the Knights of Columbus in Lynn.

The funds raised at the auction will help us achieve our mission: Camp Fire Boys and Girls builds caring, confident youth and future leaders.
Without support like yours, many of the club, camping, and self reliance programs could not continue and the children who participate through sliding fees and camperships would not be offered that assistance.

Once again, from all of us at Camp Fire, our heartfelt thanks for your support and help.

Sincerely,
Auction Committee

Our Lady of Nazareth Academy thanks Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture

Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture

Norton, MA 02766

Dear Naomi:
Our largest fundraiser of the year, ‘Cruising at the OLN Auction was held at Our Lady of Nazareth Academy on Saturday, October 25, 2003. As you recall, Our Lady of Nazareth Academy is a non-profit, independent Catholic All-Girls High School established in 1949 located in Wakefield, MA. Our Lady of Nazareth Academy receives NO financial support from the Archdiocese of Boston, local or state tax revenues. It exists solely on tuitions/donations and fundraising which directly benefits our students and school.

Even in a year with a depressed economy, uncertainty in world markets, and war in our world; with your generous donation and support, this year’s “Cruise themed” Auction was a most successful event. We raised $44,000! After expenses, $40,000 will be returned to the school to continue to meet educational and activity expenses for the 2002-2003 school year.

The event was well publicized throughout the OLN family and to news media outlet in the 30 communities that send students to the Academy. . Your donation was recognized in our auction program and hopefully families and friends of the Academy will support and patronize your business.

Once again, thank you for your support of Our Lady of Nazareth Academy. We are most grateful and blessed to have your help in the education of our young women of the future.

Sincerely,

Your kindness is greatly appreciated…

Dear Friend.
We are well on our way to making our dream of assisting deserving students in their educational pursuits a reality. Last year, we awarded 13 scholarships to graduating high school seniors from around the Merrimack Valley. Now, thanks to people like you we will be able to continue our scholarship fund this year and. hopefully, for many years to come. We at the The Stacy Stott Memorial Fund would like to thank you for your generous donation this year. Whether your donation was in the form of cash, a gift certificate or items used to run our 2nd Annual benefit, your kindness is greatly appreciated.

As you may recall from previous correspondences, Stacy was a vibrant, beautiful, young woman whose life was cut tragically short in an automobile accident. She was a well- rounded individual who possessed an extraordinary amount of dedication, leadership, and spirit. She was kind to others and was an inspiration to many. She affected hundreds of people in her short lifetime. It is our continued goal to ensure that her legacy be carried on to touch the lives of others for many years to come.
The Stacy Stott Memorial Fund will continue to award scholarships to graduating seniors Andover High School, Chelmsford High School, Dracut High School, Greater Lowell vocational Technical High School, Lowell Catholic High School. Lowell High School. Methuen High School, Tewksbury High School, and Celebrity All Stars. In addition donations have and will be made to the Lowell High School dance program in an effort to sustain this program for Lowell High School students.

Recipients of the first annual scholarships illustrated some of the characteristics that defined Stacy: motivation, dedication to education and extra-curricular activities, leadership skills, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of others. We will continue to reward young adults who possess these valued characteristics.

Please accept our warmest thanks for your assistance in helping us continue the legacy of spirit and kindness that Stacy began in her lifetime.

Sincerely,
The Senior Sport Memorial Fund Committee

Please allow to express my gratitude towards you & Bernie Phyl’s for the generous donation to our Essex Base Ball Club fund-raiser raffle.

Dear Troop 20 Supporter:
On behalf of Boy Scout Troop 20 of Hudson, NH, we would like to thank you for making our fundraiser a huge success. Because of your generous donation, we were able to raise enough money to support many of the activities that the boys want to do throughout the year as well as fund programs, such as our campership program, which helps scouts attend camp who otherwise could not afford to go.

Our spaghetti supper/silent auction was well attended by the community where we served over 40 pounds of pasta and meatballs each. The auction and penny sale added a touch of excitement to the evening.

Thank you again for supporting Troop 20, the scouts appreciate it.

Bernie & Phyl’s donates to Hospice benefit

Ms. Naomi Shore
Public Relations Coordinator
Bernie & Phyl’s
308 E Main Street
Norton, MA 02766

Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for supporting the 15? Annual Walk for Hospice. Your generous gift-in-kind donation of a gift certificate, which you valued at $25.00, sends a clear message to our patients, their families, and Hospice caregivers that you, too, care about human dignity and compassion.

The Walk raises funds so that Hospice of the South Shore can provide special care for terminally ill patients and their families during a sensitive and important time of life. A team of caring professionals teaches family members how to comfort and care for their loved one and for each other. Hospice also offers bereavement counseling for children, siblings, parents, and friends. All of these services are provided regardless of the patient’s or family’s ability to pay.

The Walk is a very public expression of this love and appreciation, as you can see from these remembrances placed on the Wall of Memories:
“Angels are surely here on earth in the loving form of Hospice workers! Love & Thanks.”
“It’s been 16 years since I lost my mother to cancer, but the pleasant memories of her Hospice nurses are still fresh in my mind.Thank You. ”

This is why your support is so appreciated.

The IRS asks that we tell you that no goods or services were provided in exchange for this donation.
On behalf of our Hospice patients and their families, thank you for sponsoring this important local cause.

Sincerely,
Edith Millard
Philanthropy Officer

308 E.Main Street
Norton, MA 02766

Dear Ms. Shore,
Simple thanks are not enough for the tremendous outpouring of giving we witnessed at our “Renew Our Heritage” Auction, on Friday, November 18! One of the most successful fundraisers ever for the Academy of Notre Dame, the evening proved, once again, that parents, alumnae and extended members of the NDA family have not forgotten what our beloved Academy stands for: a shining example of academic excellence.

At NDA, no child is ever left behind-and thanks to your exemplary generosity their future now holds even more promise. You can be sure that many students will benefit from your open hearts and quietly thank you for giving them “The NDA Advantage.” But, the real measure of your success will be how your “heritage” of giving inspires these same students to continue this tradition of support to The Academy-just as many of you have.

Though one can never truly put a number on generosity, we thought you would be pleased to know that we anticipate raising $60,000 from the auction.

These exceptional numbers speak for themselves.

May the blessings of the Christmas season be with you and those you hold dear.

Gratefully,

Veteran’s Day Tribute to the Troops
Your donation of gift certificates really helped

Bernie & Phyl’s
Naomi Shore

Dear Naomi,
THANK YOU!!!!
We now plan to distribute close to 50 scholarships of $500 each to Massachusetts’ service members. Your donation of gift certificates really helped. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your hard work and your generous donations. The numbers speak for themselves. The proceeds are well over our anticipated goals.

As I said on Veteran’s Day Friday November 11th at the Tribute to the Troops Event at Florian Hall in Dorchester, this event was not about the war, either for or against the war, but rather it was about our Service Members, their families, and their education needs.

Our success cannot be attributed to any one person or organization. It was the combination of many special people - either in a group or individually - working collectively toward a common goal of raising funds for service members and their families for their educational goals. The effort started over 3 months ago and really paid off.

One Service Member, Specialist Brendan J. Murphy of Dorchester (my brother), was able to express his appreciation of all our efforts through a live telephone call from Iraq to a crowd of over 400 hundred during the event. Brendan thanked all for sending packages and supporting our troops away from home. May Brendan and all our service members return home safely.

Thank you again and God Bless our Troops,

Sincerely,
Jimmy Murphy

Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

Dear Ms. Shore:
Special thanks to you for donating a gift certificate valued at $25.00. This gift will be a terrific auction item at this year’s “Friends of Hospice” Annual Gala.

The theme for this year’s event will celebrate the founding of Old Colony Hospice twenty-six years ago -we are so proud of that. We plan another very worthwhile evening - scrumptious dining, auction of a few select items and dancing a1 the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton on October 21,2005.

Honoring some special supporters and enjoying the message of Dr. Ned Cassem, a colleague of the founder of the hospice movement in our country, plus our guest celebrity, Harvey Leonard, WCVB-TV Meteorologist, will complete our event!
As a supporter, Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture will be promoted in our program book for the event and will be listed in the 2006 Report of Gifts.

Since 1979, Old Colony Hospice has provided compassionate, expert medical care and programs that focus on body, mind, and spirit - with an understanding that serious illness profoundly impacts the patient as well as family and friends. Teams of health care professionals will serve 80-95 patients each day, plus their families, regardless of their ability to pay. This makes it critically important for us to raise money through sponsorships.

Thanks for your role in our evening –

As a major donor to our organization, Bernie & Phyl’s will extend its presence beyond the tournament by being recognized in our October newsletter; sent to more than 10,000 individuals, businesses, and organizations in the South Shore and beyond. Sponsors like you lay the foundation for the success of our Golf Classic, and we look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come as this event grows.

Bernie & Phyl’s furniture contributes to Spine Tumor Clinic

Dear Friends,
Thank you for contributing to the outstanding success of our eighth annual Brian D. Silber Memorial Golf Tournament. With your support, we raised $100,000 for the continued growth of the Brian D. We are deeply touched by the kindness and generosity demonstrated by so many people.

The Brian D. Silber Spine Tumor Clinic is committed to high quality patient care, innovative research, and effective educational programs. In the past year we have seen the continued growth of the Clinic where patients are evaluated, advised, and treated by a multidisciplinary group of doctors. Brian’s Fund also support for a research team focused on spinal cord tumor research. Our goal is to provide the funds to continue this important work with the hope that one day there will be a cure.

Plans are underway for the ninth annual Brim D. Silber Memorial Golf Tournament which will take place on July 19, 2006. We hope that we can count on you again to participate in this special event.

We are grateful to you for making this tournament a success and for your camaraderie, loyalty, and support. Working together we can truly make a difference in the lives of spine tumor patients and their families.

Bernie & Phyl help support Greater Boston Food Bank

Naomi Shore
Bernie and Phyl’s
308 East Main Street
Norton, MA 02766

Dear Naomi,
Thank you for your donation of a $25 gift certificate for The Greater Boston Food Bank’s Second Helping Gala. This donation helped us to raise over $1 15,000, which will enable us to continue to rescue an estimated 4,000 pounds each and every week of perishable and prepared food that would otherwise go to waste.

Begun in 1989 as a joint venture w@ the Boston College Alumni Association, Second Helping is the critical link between food establishments willing to donate their surplus and a wide range of emergency and non-emergency feeding programs. Donors to this vital rescue program include caterers, hotels, corporate cafeterias, universities and restaurants. Last year Second Helping collected more than 216,000 pounds of nutritious food, providing the equivalent of nearly 166,000 meals to those in need.
In addition to daily pick-ups and deliveries by Food Bank staff using our own trucks, we now facilitate the direct transfer of even more surplus by serving as the intermediary, matching available donations with the needs of our Second Helping recipients by food type and amount.

To learn more about hunger in Massachusetts and how we are serving people in your area, we invite you to visit our website, www.abfb.org. The site is also secure for making additional charitable gifts to Second Helping, Kids Cafe, Brown Bag, or wherever the need is greatest.

Thank you again for your thoughtful gift!

Sincerely,
Carla Kindt

Dear Ms. Shore:
We want to thank you for your donation to our “Taste of Braintree” fundraiser this year. The success of an event such as this depends on many things, especially the kindness of individuals and businesses that support our efforts and generously donate to our silent auction. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Approximately 1,000 people attended this special event - more than triple the number of last year. I have enclosed a copy of our event brochure.

With this year’s proceeds, the Parent Involvement Program was able to sponsor a Braintree High School team to compete at the National Robotics Competition in Atlanta, Georgia. We are proud to say that they placed 3rd among 53 teams nationwide. With this being their first time - what an awesome accomplishment! We also plan on continuing with our middle schools’ robotics teams, with this year being able to sponsor a novice team and an advanced team at each middle school.
Besides funding the MCAS tutoring program for our fourth graders, we are pleased to have another opportunity to enrich the education of the children of Braintree. The sixth graders will be able to participate in a tutoring program in preparation for their math MCAS tests. We strongly believe in supporting math, science and technology programs. With your help this year, we were able to expand these programs and many others.

Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous donation, which helped to make this day an extremely successful one for the children of Braintree.

Sincerely yours,
PARENT INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM

Dear Ms. Shore:
On behalf of Old Colony Hospice, thank you for supporting the Old Colony Hospice Classic III. Your recent donation of a gift certificate valued at $50.00 and show of support will be a terrific addition to the tournament.

On August 22, our slate of golfers will enjoy a beautiful day at Brookmeadow Country Club in Canton. Following the tournament, we’ll enjoy lunch and the awards ceremony in the clubhouse, in addition to our Auction/Raffle with many desirable items.

Our goals are two-fold: To provide the players with an enjoyable day and to raise awareness of the benefits of hospice care. Special thanks to you for your donation - it will be received with enthusiasm at the event, and we will list your business as a supporter in the program book and our fall newsletter.

This year, Old Colony Hospice will provide highly skilled, compassionate care each day to 75 - 85 patients and their loved ones. We care for patients with compassion and dignity in private homes as well as skilled nursing facilities. Donations such as yours help us bridge the gap between what we are paid by insurers and the true cost of providing care and medication during this most difficult phase of life.

Sincere thanks,

Dear Ms. Blumenthal:
On behalf of the Saugus River Watershed Council, I would like to thank you for generously donating a $25 gift certificate to Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture for our annual River Night benefit dinner and auction last spring. Thanks to support from you and many other area businesses and individuals, this year’s event was a great success raising over $17,000 in funding for our river restoration and environmental education programs.

Proceeds from this year’s River Night event have already supported our numerous environmental research, youth education and river restoration projects. This spring and summer, Saugus River Watershed Council staff and board members have been working with volunteers to track water quality conditions and fish populations in the watershed. Results of these programs are used to support efforts to improve water quality in the river and restore habitat for smelt, river herring and other wildlife. In June, we hosted our second annual Saugus River Picnic and Children’s Festival at the Saugus Iron Works to provide free environmental education activities, games and live music for families throughout the region. Your support of River Night will also help us to promote public access improvements at locations such as the 8.2-acre former “Bacon” property located along the banks of the river in Saugus.

Thank you again for helping to make this year’s River Night event our most successful fundraiser — we really appreciate your support. Please call me at 781-233-5046 if you have any questions about the Saugus River Watershed Council or our programs. I hope you enjoy the rest of the summer.

In addition to the monetary donations, we were also fortunate to receive a special donation from Percussion Software - a new electric golf cart for the camp!

Dear Friend:
On behalf of the Cheryl Chagnon Lymphoma Research Fund Inc., I would like to take to this opportunity to thank you for your generous contribution to this year’s Dinner For a Cure fundraiser that was held on April 30,2005 at the Natick Elks. The dinner was a huge success! Attended by over 200 guests we hosted an all you can eat pasta dinner with a silent auction, many raffle items and door prizes and raised more than ever before.

The dinner was attended by Dr.’s David T. Scadden of Massachusetts General Hospitals Research Lab. We had the remarkable opportunity of presenting him with a check in the amount of $29,900 for the purchase of “Real-time PCR” machine that measures the amount of a specific gene or gene product with high precision. This will have a tremendous impact on Leukemia and Lymphoma research.

Last year we donated $26,000 to Massachusetts General Hospital to continue funding the second stage of his research aimed at increasing stem cell production. It is truly a wonderful opportunity for an organization like ours to provide support that will benefit cancer patients in the greater Boston area. This would not have been possible without your support and generosity.
Our organization currently holds two fundraisers a year, our Dinner for a Cure and our participation as a team in the SBLI Falmouth Road Race held in August. Through these two events we hope to continue to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer and it’s research. We remain committed to helping improve cancer treatments and technology for those in our community who will battle cancer.

Thank you again for generosity and continued support.

Sincerely,

Thank you for your support of Taunton Catholic Schools

Dear Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture,
Thank you for your support of the 2005 Taunton Catholic Schools Auction and Dinner Dance. Our goals were to hold a fun event for the Taunton Catholic Schools community and to raise funds to benefit the Mission of the four schools. To maintain the quality of education and standards at the school, we depend on a variety of fundraisers and the generosity of people like you.
The event was a tremendous success as we met both goals. Over 350 people enjoyed dinner and dancing at the Auction on April 30th and we raised just under $60,000.00 for the Taunton Catholic Schools. The funds are already being put to good use in each school by purchasing new equipment and improving technology - all in support of the education of our students.

Your Auction Donation was crucial to our success and is appreciated by all at The Taunton Catholic Schools. So, once again, Thank you for your contribution of a Gift Certificate to Bernie and Phyl’s valued at $25.00.

We hope that you will be able to help us at next year’s event as we build on this year’s success.

Sincerely,

Dear Naomi,
We want to thank you for your donation to the Greater Worcester Habitat for Humanity Raising the Roof dinner auction held on April 14, 2005. The event was a great success, with over 200 local business leaders and other Habitat supporters attending. Please note that GWHFH is a 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization and your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.

The money raised from the event will be used to provide a home for two families in the Greater Worcester area. This winter we completed a duplex to house the DeSoto family and the Culross family. The parents and the six children are now in a safe and decent home, which will provide a stable environment for their lives to unfold.

The Greater Worcester Habitat for Humanity began serving communities in Central Massachusetts in 1985, and has built homes for twenty-three low-income families in the Greater Worcester area. Our mission is to create decent homes in good communities by working in continuing partnership with people in need who are committed and able to become homeowners. Habitat believes that the greatest means to assist families is by providing them with a home ownership opportunity. Simple, decent, and affordable housing can have a profound impact on stabilizing a family and providing for long-term security. The Habitat program is one of empowerment: a hand up, not a hand out. With growing support of the community and businesses like yours, we are increasingly able to offer low income families an interest free mortgage and a chance for a new life in their very own home.

We sincerely thank you for your donation.

Sincerely, The Auction Committee

Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for the generous donation of a Gift Certificate for the Camp Fire Auction. We attribute the success and continued growth of our organization to people like you who believe in our cause and give so freely. Camp Fire depends on and thrives year after year because of the incredible support of communities and businesses that realize the great importance of our program. The success of our auction helped us achieve our mission: Camp Fire USA builds caring, confident youth and future leaders.

Dear Naomi:
Thank you so much for your generous support of the Second Annual Celebration of Giving. We appreciate your contribution of a gift certificate. Your donation added so much to our display of auction items and helped to raise money for the thousands of children served by child welfare agencies that benefit from The Rodman Ride for Kids.

Thousands of children in New England awaken every morning to an uncertain future. The challenges they face sometimes seem unbearable - poverty, abuse, loneliness, abandonment, fear, illness. For the past 12 years, the Ride for Kids Foundation has worked with dozens of child welfare organizations and advocacy groups, donating over $13 million to help promote healthy, positive lives for children in need. For many of the children sewed, the holidays can be a devastating time of year. Through a “Holiday Celebration of Giving” gala auction and dinner, the Ride for Kids Foundation seeks to make the holidays a little brighter for these children by providing them with toys, winter clothes, food, school supplies and other personal items. For many, this will be the only gift that they receive. We believe that every child deserves to feel the magic of the holiday season, and because of your donation their holiday season will truly be magical.

Again, our heartfelt thanks for your kindness and all you did to help make the holidays brighter for thousands of children and families.

Warmest Regards,

Re: 2nd Annual “Caring For Kids” 5K Road Race

Dear Naomi,
On behalf of the Road Race Committee, we want to thank you for the two gift certificates donated to the 2nd Annual “Caring For Kids” 5K Road Race held on October 17, 2004.

The event garnered some notably publicity this year. I have enclosed two articles describing the event. One article appeared on ww.coolrunning.com, a popular website geared towards runners. The second article is the race coverage provided by the Brockton Enterprise. In addition to the appearance of running legend, Bill Rodgers, the overall male winning time of 15:00 was impressive. We are so pleased to be able to introduce such high caliber running to the area while raising $3,000 for an important local cause, “Caring for Kids”.

The race was a huge success and we plan to build upon our success to make the race even bigger and better next year.

We very much appreciate your involvement in the event and look forward to working with you in the future.

Thanks again for your support and generosity.

Sincerely Yours,

Norton, MA 02766

Dear Ms. Shore:
Special thanks to you for the generous donation of a gift certificate valued at $25.00. This gift was a terrific auction item at this year’s “Friends of Hospice” Annual Gala.

The theme for this year’s event celebrated the Silver Anniversary of Old Colony Hospice -we are so proud of that. We enjoyed a marvelous evening - scrumptious dining, auction of twenty-five select items and dancing to a vibrant band at the Boston Mariott Hotel in Quincy on October 22, 2004. Honoring our special supporters and enjoying the vibrant personality of Ms. Susan Wornick, of Channel 5 WCVB-TV, completed our very worthwhile evening!

Our goal was to provide our guests with an enjoyable night and to raise awareness of the benefits of hospice care during the celebration. The $62,000 raised at the Gala directly benefits programs that Old Colony Hospice offers, including nursing care and costly medications.

As a supporter, Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture was promoted in our program book for the event and will be listed in the next Report of Gifts.

Since 1979, Old Colony Hospice has provided compassionate, expert medical care and programs that focus on body, mind, and spirit - with an understanding that serious illness profoundly impacts the patient as well as family and friends. Teams of health care professionals $ill serve more than 700 patients, plus their families, this year, regardless of their ability to pay. This makes it critically important for us to raise money through sponsorships.

Thanks for your role in our evening –
Marilyn A. Jackson
Director of Development/Marketing

Dear Friend:
It is my pleasure to thank you for your generous gift of $200.00 to the 16th Annual Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Your gift will go directly to patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

This year, over 7,000 walkers and volunteers are working together to raise $4.75 million for the fight against cancer. Your support is critical to their efforts - and to the work of the Institute’s physicians and scientists.

Each year, thousands of patients and their families turn to Dana-Farber for the most effective cancer care now available. At the same time, our talented physicians and scientists are searching for the fundamental causes of cancer and more effective ways to stop and prevent this all too common disease. With your help, they will rapidly realize the promise of this research, changing the way we understand and treat cancer for years to come.

Again, thank you for your generous support of the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Fighting cancer is truly a team effort.

Norton, MA 02766

Good day,
It is with great pride and honor that I write to thank you for your contribution to the 10th Annual Children’s Burn Camp Golf Tournament. This years tournament has marked a significant accomplishment in the history of our efforts. For the first time in our ten years of raising money for the children of the New England Burn Camp, we are able to present them with a check for over $20,000. Your help, combined with the help of other generous contributors, has allowed us to donate just over $27,000. We couldn’t have done it without you.

As chairman of the golf committee, I am ecstatic about the partnerships that we have formed with generous contributors to this ultra worthy cause. Because of these partnerships, the Nashua Firemen’s Relief Association Children’s Burn Camp Golf Tournament has gained New England wide recognition as a major contributor to this Burn Camp. Your donations directly translate into a higher quality camp experience for these children. You should be proud; your help has made a difference.
In closing, I would like to once again thank you for your involvement and I look forward to your continued support in 2005.

Dear Friends at Bernie & Phyl’s Furniture,
Thank you for your generous donation of $100.00 to The Audrey Miller Poritzky Educational Fund for Children.
Audrey’s career and passion focused on public-school education reform, as well as on providing opportunities for individual students to achieve their scholastic goals. Donation to Cheryl Chagnon Lymphoma Research Fund Inc.

On behalf of the Cheryl Chagnon Lymphoma Research Fund Inc., I would like to take to this opportunity to thank you for your generous contribution to this years Dinner For a Cure fundraiser that was held on April 17,2004 at the Natick Elks. The dinner was a huge success! Attended by over 200 guests we hosted an all you can eat pasta dinner with a silent auction, many raffle items and door prizes.

The dinner was attended by Dr.’s David Scadden and Ken Cohen of Massachusetts General Hospital Research Lab. We had the extraordinary opportunity of presenting them with a check in the amount of $23,000 accompanied by an anonymous donation of $3,000 for a combined donation of $26,000. Which was the amount needed to fund the second stage of trial with a PTH (parathyroid) hormone and it’s affect on ones own stem cell production.

Last year we donated $20,000 to Massachusetts General Hospital for the purchase of a Hemavet 850 multi species hematology system, used to analyze blood samples. Through this donation the research progressed in such an expedient manner allowing it to enter into the second stage of trial. It is truly a wonderful opportunity for our organization to provide this type of support that will benefit cancer patients in the greater Boston area.

Thank you again for generosity and support.

Together, we raised over $8,000 for innovative cancer research

Dear Naomi Shore:
After months of preparation for the marathon, race day has come and gone. Thanks to near record temperatures, I was able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the course for a lot longer than anticipated! As I endured the last few miles of the race, I desperately searched for some inspiration to carry me the rest of the way. It was at mile 25 when I saw the children from the Dana Farber Cancer Institute cheering me on with such enthusiasm and conviction. I stopped and gave each kid a “high five,” thought about all of you who supported Dana-Farber and me in this year’s marathon challenge, and I had all the inspiration I needed to finish!

Together, we raised over $8,000 for innovative cancer research. Perhaps next year we can do even better.

Thanks again for your donations, raffle gifts, support, and kindness.

Respectfully,
Kevin McCann

Dear Mr. Rubin.
On behalf of Kennedy-Donovan Center, I am writing to thank you very much for your generous donation of a $50 gift certificate, which we received on 312412004. This item will certainly add interest to the silent auction at the 17th Founder’s Gala, on April 16, 2004.

State budget cuts have affected our resources again this year, and will likely continue. We appreciate the help of businesses and friends in the communities of KDC’s programs and services.

As you know, Kennedy-Donovan Center, a 501(c)(3) human service agency provides a wide range of direct and supportive services to 4,700 individuals and families with developmental disabilities throughout eastern and south central Massachusetts.

Dear Ms. Shore:
On behalf of Old Colony Hospice, thank you for supporting our 6th Annual Memorial Walk, “Stepping Out For Hospice.” Your recent donation of a gift certificate valued at $50.00 and show of support will be great addition to this year’s walk.

On April 21,2004 we expect over 900 people will join us at the Raymond School in Brockton and continue on to the “Stepping Out” Walk through the scenic D. W. Field Park. The annual Walk is a terrific way for our communities to join with family members, OCH staff, along with corporate and community walk teams in raising awareness for hospice programs and services.

Dear Friend of St. George Church,
We, the parishioners of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, would like to take this opportunity to Thank You for your generous donation that was made to our first “Live and Silent Auction”. The auction was held on October 18, 2003 and was a great success. We grossed well over $22,000.00.

The funds that we realize from our effort will go a long way in funding some of the many programs that the church sponsors to help not only people in the City of Lynn, but throughout the greater Lynn area. One such program is the “Caring and Sharing” program, which provides Thanksgiving food baskets to many low-income families and elderly in our community. We also participate in the annual free Thanksgiving dinner that is served to more than 1000 people in the Lynn and Boston areas. This dinner is held at “Brother’s Deli” in Lynn and take-out orders are sent to the Victory program in Boston. “Caring and Sharing” also sponsors an annual Christmas party for the families of the SPIN (Sewing People In Need) homeless shelter program. This party is held in our community center and is attended by more than 100 families. Each child receives a gift picture with Santa, lunch and prizes. Caring and Sharing is not limited to just Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We help people all year long. In the past we have paid rent for people facing eviction, we have paid utility bills and provided food to those who may need assistance.

In closing, “Thank You” for your generous contribution to our fundraiser and we wish you a happy and healthy 2004.

Sincerely,
Charles Lambesis

Thank you for your generous contribution

To Whom It May Concern:
Everyone is struck by tragedy at some time in his or her life. At these times it is comforting to know that there are people who are willing to help in any way possible. Your donation or purchase of a ticket to the Parhiala Family Raffle enabled us to help with the cobra cost related to their medical Insurance.

Unfortunately, Peter succumbed to cancer and passed away a few days after the raffle drawing. Peter wanted you to know how grateful he was for the outpouring of love and support you shared with him and his family.

On behalf of the Parhiala Family and the critical care nurses of Lawrence General Hospital, we would like to thank you for your generous contribution. Words alone cannot express how much we appreciate what you have done for our co-worker, and her family.

Sincerely,
Patti DeRoche, RN

Dear Friends:
It is my pleasure to thank you for your gift of $200 to the Boston Marathon Jimmy Fund Walk. Your kind support is helping Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s physicians and scientists as they provide the best, most effective cancer care today while searching for the cures of tomorrow.

This year, nearly 7,000 walkers and volunteers joined together to help us meet our goal of raising $5 million to beat cancer. Like you, thousands of friends, family members, volunteers, and spectators cheered their efforts. We couldn’t do it without all of your support. Since 1989, the Walk has raised more than $26 million for the Jimmy Fund.

With your help, Dana-Farber has become a world leader in cancer care and research. Today, as science makes extraordinary advances, we are ever more hopeful that cancer will become a disease of the past. Thank you again for bringing a world without cancer one step closer.

Attention: Ms. Naomi Shore
On behalf of Riverside Christian Church, thank you for contributing a gift certificate valued at $50.00 to our Benefit Auction for the Little Hands Big Hearts (LHBH) ministry in Honduras. Your gift made a great addition and we truly appreciate your donation.

Riverside Christian Church is partnering with the Little Hands Big Hearts ministry this fall when eleven members will travel to Trujillo in Honduras to assist the work of Mark and Brenda Young at LHBH. The ministry of LHBH is to provide physical, emotional and spiritual care to the people of Honduras especially the next generation of children.

All proceeds and donations received at the Benefit Auction will be used for the purpose of providing construction materials and mechanical supplies. In addition, the team will be taking school and medical supplies to the Little Hands Big Hearts ministry. Thank you for contributing to the outstanding success of our sixth annual Brian D. Silber Memorial Golf Tournament. With your support, we raised $95,000 for the continued growth of the Brian D. Dear Ms. Shore:
Thank you for your recent donation of a $50 Gift Certificate to our 12th Annual Clean Air Classic Golf Tournament. Your donation will help make this year’s tournament a great success, and will further our efforts to combat lung disease.

The American Lung Association of Greater Norfolk County works to promote healthy lungs and to prevent lung disease in your community. Since 1927 we have been involved locally in research, education, and advocacy in an effort to create a healthier society.

Allow us to highlight one of our current activities that your gift helps to fund. Every summer we send asthmatic children to camp. These children have a wonderful week enjoying the treasures of camp and learning to overcome the challenges of their asthma.
The American Lung Association’s unique Camp Chest Nut is located in Becket, Massachusetts, surrounded by the scenic Berkshire Mountains It is a very special community of boys and girls, ages 8 to 15, who share a common problem –asthma. At Camp Chest Nut, they have the support of committed counselors and respiratory therapists. Here each child learns that they are not alone with their asthma.

Camp Chest Nut helps children to recognize their own individual “triggers” and teaches them how to manage an asthmatic episode. Campers also have an opportunity to candidly discuss-the problems associated with asthma and to develop ways to cope with these issues. The program offers breathing exercises and information about using medications. The children have fun while learning to manage their asthma in a safe, secure environment.

On behalf of our Board of Directors and all the children and adults our programs will help, thank you for your dedication and commitment to the American Lung Association’s Clean Air Golf Tournament. Your generosity will make a real difference in the fight against lung disease.

Dear Naomi,
On behalf of the Board and Staff of Family & Children’s Service, we thank you for your generous donation in support of the agency’s 11th Annual Spring Reception and Silent Auction.

The event was a success with more than 100 people in attendance. In addition to enjoying each other’s company as well as the music, food and drink, they were treated to a performance by one of our youth programs. Ten 4th and 5th graders from our Kids Promoting Peace program mingled with the guests and then performed in a skit of their own creation. The skit demonstrates what they have learned about resolving conflicts peacefully and is an example of how these peer leaders teach younger students these important skills.

All proceeds from the event will go to support KiPP and other youth programming at Family & Children’s Service of Greater Lynn, Inc. Your donation to the silent auction of a gift certificate was a key element in our success.

Thank you again for your interest and support. We hope you will consider helping us again next year.

Dear Ms. Dean,
Thank you for your generous donation of a gift certificate for the Camp Fire auction. Your donation will be acknowledged at our auction and in our program book. The auction will be held on May 17, 2003, at the Topsfield Fair Grounds.

The funds raised at the auction will help us achieve our mission: Camp Fire Boys and Girls builds caring, confident youth and future leaders.

Without support like yours, many of the club, camping, and self reliance programs could not continue and the children who participated through sliding fees and camperships would not be offered that assistance.

Once again, from the children and all of us at Camp Fire, thank you for your support and help.

Very truly yours,
Marlys Russell
Executive Director
The 30th NHPTV Spring Auction

Dear Ms. Dean,
Thank you for your in-kind gift of a $50 gift certificate in support of the 28th NSMC/Union Hospital Golf Classic. Gifts of this nature were used for our raffle and auction on the day of the tournament to help enhance revenues from this fundraising event. For donation purposes we have credited your gift, as requested, at a total value of $50.

Proceeds from our 2003 Classic will support the purchase of state-of -the-art technology for, and the re-design of, operating rooms in preparation of new advancements in minimally invasive surgery (MIS).

I am most grateful for your support.

Bernie & Phyl’s Community Relations Program Guidelines

Bernie & Phyl’s Friends In Need program regularly donates furniture to charitable organizations in need. We also donate gift certificates to local community organizations for their fundraising activities. If you would like Bernie & Phyl’s to be involved in your organization or event, here are some guidelines you should know.

Furniture Donations:

We donate furniture to many kinds of charitable organizations that serve in-need populations such as hospitals, children’s homes, shelters, addiction recovery centers, and affordable housing projects. We do not make furniture donations to individuals. We feel that our contributions can best benefit the community when they are used by many individuals and families in an institutional setting.

Fundraising Contributions and Sponsorships:

While we are happy to evaluate any opportunities for sponsorships, we do very limited monetary sponsorships. However, every request will be thoughtfully considered. We do donate gift certificates to local charitable groups to be used for auctions, raffles, door prizes, etc.

ALL REQUESTS MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING.
Please send your request to the attention of Elizabeth Dierze, at our outside public/community relations firm, by email, edierze@blumenthalpr.com or by fax, 617-879-1512. You will receive a response even if we cannot fulfill your request for furniture or for a monetary sponsorship.
