Your furniture will be professionally treated before delivery to resist stains from food and beverage spills, human and pet bodily fluids, stains from grass, grease, ballpoint pen marks, ink, gum, nail polish or nail polish remover, cosmetics, lipstick and crayons. This warranty also covers accidental rips, tears, cuts and burns. All claims must be reported to Bernie and Phyl's by the original purchaser within five (5) days of the date of one of the above mentioned incidents with a description of the stain. Stains caused by any of the above listed substances must first be blotted immediately with a dry, soft, absorbent cloth. You received 2 different bottles of cleaning agents with your new upholstery, one for oil based stains, one for protein stains. Use the proper bottle and follow the directions to remove the stain.
In the event the stain becomes permanent or in the event of an accidental rip, tear, cut or burn, under the terms and conditions of this limited warranty, Bernie and Phyl's, at it's discretion, will provide the following services:
- Cleaning and re-treating of the stained area by our authorized technician, to the fullest possible degree, at no cost to our customer.
- Re-upholstering of the stained, torn, ripped or burned area, to the fullest possible degree, by our authorized technician if the stain cannot be removed by cleaning. Bernie and Phyl's reserves the right to service the affected piece in the home or pick it up for shop repair if needed within 50 miles of our closest store.
If the above steps do not resolve the problem, Bernie and Phyl's, at it's discretion, will replace the affected piece upon return or allow the original purchaser to re-select a new piece of furniture of equal value and quality. Once the piece is replaced, this warranty is fulfilled and a new warranty will have to be purchased to protect the replacement/re-selection.
