I own a seasonal condo in Turo. I live in Syracuse New York and my ability to be on the Cape is limited. I needed a sleeper sofa and I needed it delivered the week of 5/19.

I shopped your web site and found what I thought would be a good sofa for my needs. But I needed to be sure the colors on the web picture would go with my newly painted walls.

I called the Hyannis store, explained my situation to the person who answered the phone and Elise came on the line. I again explained my situation and my concern that the colors in the sofa may clash with my newly painted walls. She had paint chips for my paint manufacturer in the store. I gave her the color and she when to check the samples. She called me back about a hour later and said my color was not in her samples, but what local store carried the brand and she would run out that day and get a paint sample.

I assured her the next day would be adequate. She did call me the next day. She had gotten the paint sample, held it up against the sofa I had selected. Not only she but 2 other staff in the Hyannis store agreed, the couch would go with the new paint.

I was very appreciative and I bought the couch.

I was very impressed with Elise's responsiveness to my situation and wanted you to know about it. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE which sadly I do not see very often any more.

I absolutely will come to Benrie and Phyls when I need additional furniture.

I am writing this email to the corporate office to express my pleasure in dealing with the Hyannis store. Particularly , with the manager LouAnn. We had run into some miscommunication from the sales person which led us to purchase a product we were not pleased with. LouAnn called us back and helped us out with this problem. She made it clear she wanted us to be happy that we chose Bernie and Phyls and did her best to help us out. I wanted Bernie and Phyls to know that because of LouAnn we are glad we chose your store. She was polite, helpful and proffesional. Hats off to you for hiring this manager.

Dear Bernie and Phil, I purchased a adjustable bed and mattress in November 2011, A few months later noticed a tear on the seam of the mattress, we had a tech come out and was told we were going to get a new mattress because the tear was large. We went to your store to upgrade our mattress and ask the salesman there if they could help us to program our remotes on our bed so we only needed one remote, the sales tech called over Eric (his manager of bedding) he mad several calls to different companies as well as differt tecs, and kept us informed all the way. We spoke to him every day for 4 days. He then gave us the # of the company that makes the bed and we now have someone coming out next week to see what they can do. I called Eric back to thank him and he was just the best, he told us he would do whatever he could do to resolve our issues. Thank You Eric! And Thank You Bernie and Phil. We will defenitly be back to your wonderful store.

I would like to take a moment to share our excellent sales & delivery experience with you. My husband and I stopped by your Nashua, NH store to just look around. The "no pressure" sales experience was refreshing. Once we decided what we wanted to purchase we had a few questions. We came upon one of your sales associates Danny who was able to answer all our questions. He was very accommodating because we wanted to see a couple of pieces near each other so he moved things around in the store for us which helped us to make our final decision. The great service didn't stop there. We took delivery of our furniture on Wednesday, February 29th. The 2 gentlemen who delivered our furniture (Kevin and please forgive me I don't remember the other gentleman's name) were very professional and pleasant. They came in and set everything up for us and made sure we were 100% satisfied before they left. We have had our furniture for a couple of weeks now and we are really enjoying it. Thanks again.

Hi, Can you please pass on a note of thanks for me? I had a technician come to my house yesterday to look at my daughter's broken bureau drawer. I bought this and bunk beds for her room last year and was disappointed that she broke it, but.. she IS only 8. I waited 4 weeks for the apt and expected to hear the repair would be costly and time consuming. Well, your technician fixed the plastic clip for me at NO CHARGE and did it on the spot! I could not believe it! I was shocked that he would repair it for free, and that he had the know-how to do it right then and there! THANK YOU!!! I have told everyone that I know how AMAZING your tech was & my parents decided to go to your store today to buy a new queen bedroom set! So, ... THANK YOU! I am impressed and will continue to spread the good word!!!

I am writing to thank you for the outstanding employees that you have at your Saugus, MA furniture store, My name is Beth Daley, my mother and father live with me, my father broke his hip in October and was and in rehab and was sent home to be with his family at the end of his journey, he is a very ill man, I quick my job three years ago to stay home with both of my parents, my mom has been battling breast cancer for the last 5 years, 2 years ago the breast cancer metastatic to the lungs, after Feburary of this year all four tumors in her breast were gone due to a trial study at the Massachusetts Cancer Center in Danvers MA. So our family has been dealing with taking care of my father including all the hard work my mom does alone for him, she was a very vibrant woman, our hero our angel, 4 weeks ago she had a seizure, which confirmed the worst the brest cancer had spread to her brain, she went through radiation, and lost her hair, I saved mine along with my father, for support of our Angel Delores, We brought her home from rehab yesterday, she wants to be with her husband, children and seven grandchildren for the small amount of time she has left, her mental status is not good at all and she is un able to walk, but the few word she is able to get out are "I Love you" and its so beautiful, she can not complete full sentences. Today was a beautiful day in our house, everyone was over, enjoying grandma, well after everyone left, she spends all her time in her recliner, if she is not there it is in her bed. Around 8:00 p.m. tonight, the foot rest on my mother's very old reclinder broken, she needs a recliner because of the brain cancer, and for keeping her legs and feet elevated because they swell. I franctically got into my car and went to Bob's Furniture, I asked for the manager, he told me they do not sell anything from the floor it needed to be orderd, I started to cry, and a very nice employee of Bob's told me to go to Bernie &Phyl's so out the door I ran got into my car and called your Saugus Store, I spoke with a very pleasent woman Laura, I explained what I needed and she put me on hold, with in seconds Mike Dotoli Came to the phone, I explained to him my story, and that I was in need of a recliner tonight, he said Beth hold one, within seconds he was back on the line telling me he had two recliners I could buy, I was already in te parking lot. I was greated by a very nice man I told him I was looking for mike, he then paged him. Mike was so helpful picking out the chair, and was so compassionate about our family's situation, I picked a chair, he called alix from the warehouse, who came within seconds, my brother is a long time Saugus Fire fighter, and he would be meeting me out back at the pick up door with his pick up truck. Then I was escorted by Mike to the front desk, I did not bring my credit cards, I only had cash, he sad me down with Krystal who was very sweet and compasionate and I got to meet Laura who I spoke on the phone, Bernie & Phyl you have an outstand employee staff, which should be recognized, they calmed me down, I was a mess walking into your store, the only thing in my life that matters is my mother and her comfort! Mike wished me the best and was so humble, and alix gave me a hug and said i'm sorry about your mom. we took the recliner home and suprised my mom, all she keep saying was "I love it" "its beautiful over and over again, she looks like a princess in the recliner. I know this is a long letter, I my parents raised there children to always go out of our way to say thank you, we alway hear about the negative experiences in life, we never hear about the good ones, Bernie & Phyl, I will always be greatful to your employee's that helped me tonight, I wanted you to know, that I will forever shop at your store and mike, Alix laura & Krystal will be in my heart and memories forever. on a side note, my dad I think was a little jealous when he saw the recliner, he said I want one too. lololol

I would like express thanks for a terrific shopping experience I had recently at the Nashua, NH location. After paying a visit to several competing furniture stores in the area, I felt discouraged and unable to find a good balance between quality furniture and good price and value. I had come across a bedroom set on Bernie and Phyl's website which caught my interest, so I decided to make my first ever visit to the Nashua, NH store. Upon arrival, I began browsing the large upstairs area when I came across sales associate Alison O'Donoghue, who pointed me in the direction of the bedroom set I saw online. She also offered to show me other bedroom sets in the same collection, which I was happy about. Alison was both friendly and knowledgeable, and was able to answer any questions I managed to come up with. When I was ready to make a purchase, I asked Alison to do what she could to get me the best price. She was able to present me no less than five offers, based on different financing options. I was very impressed! She helped make the whole process very easy, and after all of the other furniture stores I had visited, I felt I had finally found what I was looking for – good quality and price, and professional, friendly service. Thanks again for a great shopping experience, and I'm looking forward to the arrival of my new bedroom set from Bernie & Phyls!

My wife and I, along with our children visited Bernie and Phyls in Nashua, NH last weekend to look at television stands. We had never shopped at your stores in the past but decided to stop to look. We were pleasantly greeted by Stephen Dunn, a sales associate at the Nashua, NH store. He was very professional, friendly and very informative about your products.

We were looking for a piece that was made in the USA and Stephen immediately showed us a new piece where he was very positive about. We agreed and found after looking at many places, including your direct competitor down the street, that it was perfect for what we were looking for. More importantly was the support and information we got from Stephen. We had never experienced such a sales person when visiting other furniture stores.

He took care of everything and a few days later, we had the unit at our home and it was perfect. Finally, we also appreciate the fact that Stephen immediately followed up with us and sent us a personally written thank you note on one of your stores cards. WOW!!! That was the icing on the cake. Again, something we have never experience before.

You definitely have a great sales rep that really represent your store and products. He really deserves a pat on the back.

Furthermore, its not always about prices or freebies or differentiation from competitors. Its also about great people that believe in the business and the products they sell. Its the employees that make the difference. Stephen proved that in our transaction. Your advertising should reflect that.

We set the bar pretty high in these types of transactions. Stephen met the bar and we will continue to do business with Bernie and Phyls in the future. Stephen is a keeper. A rare sales person these days who is clearly professional, friendly, helpful and very knowledgable.

I wanted to take the time out to say a big thank you for making my experience choosing, buying and especially delivery of my new furniture a great one. I found the store to be well oranized, making it easy for me to find what I was looking for. The selection was large and diverse for finding what I liked. The service person at the store was well informed, courteous, friendly and professional. He informed me about a deal that was going on that I was unaware of and saved me some cash. The delivery time was within the specified time, the delivery people were friendly and professional. It was apparent they were well experienced and helped ease my stress about getting the furniture through my narrow doorway. They took care with the handling of my furniture and were patient about where I wanted the furniture to go.

Thank you for putting tags on you furniture that are made in America. It really helped us decide what to buy. We really want to support industry in the US. Now that we have our furniture we know we made the right decision! We love our new couch, loveseat and chair! They are very comfortable and look great. My kids slept all night on them when they arrived.

Just a quick note of thanks to your customer service department and your delivery-men. I received a hutch and a desk and was putting it together and discovered that the hutch was crushed on one side. Upon one phone call, Ann said she could exchange the piece the following day! Your customer service department was quite accommodating when I explained that this was, in fact, not from your store, but "was a gift from Santa" and that my 6 year old needed to be out of the house upon this hutch exchange.

The delivery-men called 45 minutes ahead (Grammy took the kids to a "surprise lunch") and the hutch arrived ASSEMBLED and they placed it on top of the desk and even helped me to cover and hide it in the corner of our basement. So, a big thanks to all the Bernie and Phyl's elves who are working hard this week to make Santa's job (and mine) so much easier. Health and happiness to you and your families.

I went in nervous as I had to change my layaway order because I'm hosting Christmas dinner and wanted my dining room table delivered. I worked with a gentleman by the name of Ted Kiser at the Saugus store. He was extremely helpful with I made my order in March of 2011 and was wonderful when I needed help with the change. Even though they cannot promise same week delivery, I was able to receive it! The promised me a phone call, which I got, a delivery time frame, which was reasonable and came as promised. The men that delivered it were friendly, personable and FAST! They were out of my house, everything picked up, put together and ready to eat on within a half hour!

Before this, I have never purchased anything from Bernie's...I do need a new living room set and you can bet your butt that that's where I'm going to go!!!

the project was a success, I got the chair last wednesday all went according to plan I want to write a note to the big boss and tell him how well all you guys did you were great, the repair was fine the guy in the warehouse was great the ladies at the Nashua store at the customer service counter were great when I left the store in Nashua I saw a table for my dinning room I want, so I will be back with customer service like you provide, why buy from anyone else so, pass along the address and name of the big boss I assume it is Bernie, but I don't know and to you thanks again.

We see your ads on TV all the time; so we decided to give your online service a try. Well the ordering was easy and the service was excellent. We received a call the morning of the delivery. The item arrived on Truck 14 - delivery by Chris and Jeremy. They brought the piece in, unpacked it and assembled the item in very good time. They are efficient, respectful and even wished us "Happy Holidays". Thanks for an excellent experience. May your holidays be "bright" also.

I wanted to let you know of a great experience I had with three of your warehouse workers at your Saugus location (Brian, Alex and Peter), and that my positive interaction with them saved your sale.

I placed my order online on Wed, Nov 23 and, when I did so, had no idea that I would have to put my end table together myself. When I got the phone call confirming the order, the salesperson informed me that some assembly might be required, but I figured since I had paid $160 for a piece of nice furniture from a furniture store, the assembly, if any, would be minimal--that's why I bought from a furniture store. I went to the Saugus store on Monday, Nov 28, to pick it up, and Brian was there and was very helpful putting it in my car, but I knew I was in trouble as it came in a huge box.

I got it home and worked for hours trying to get the table put together. The directions said to remove the drawers but, try as I might, I could not do so. I had other people come and help me, but they could not get them out either, and assembly was not possible with the drawers in. After hours of frustration, I packed it all back up and was set to return it to the store.

I returned to the Saugus location Tuesday, Nov 29, to return the end table. Brian, Alex, and Peter were outside on their lunch break when I pulled up, and Brian recognized me. He asked why I was returning the item and I told him my frustration and that I felt I had paid too much money to have to do so much assembly myself. At that point, Alex and Brian offered to put it together for me. I accepted and they got it put together in no time (they knew the trick to get the drawers out) and I was so pleased.

I hope that they will be commended for going out of their way on their break to help a customer. And as I said before, if it wasn't for them, the store would have lost my business on this sale and any future sales. I still think you could do a better job by assembling furniture for customers, because the assumption is that when ordering from a furniture store the furniture will come assembled. I don't find putting things together with an allen wrench to be "quality," per se. I have no problem picking it up myself and doing minimal assembly (putting the feet on, etc.) but I could have ordered from an internet website and gotten the same box delivered to my house--I ordered from Bernie and Phyl's because I wanted furniture store quality and service. But thanks to Brian, Alex and Peter, I did get that service and I now have a much more pleasant view of Bernie and Phyl's and will recommend them to others.

I wanted to write and thank you for the wonderful experience I had at your store furniture shopping this morning.

First of all...I went to your store to get the money off like I saw in the television ad. Thank you very much....I saved $200.

More importantly, I want to tell you about the wonderful salesman who worked with me. His name is Tracy and he is at the Nashua store.

Tracy was the best salesman I have ever met because when I initially asked him a question, he answered it very well and then he would walk away thus giving me a chance to discuss things with my friend. But he was still within our vicinity so that if I needed something else, he was readily available. He was so nice and friendly that I wound up telling him that one of the chairs I was going to buy was for the dog. So then he even showed me why the chair I was interested in would be safe for the dog.

Tracy helped us with color selection and at no point did we feel any kind of pressure.

Shopping at Bernie & Phyls was one of the best experiences we have ever had and Tracy was a huge part of that.

We are planning on winning the lottery and at that time we will return to Bernie & Phyl's to do some more furniture shopping.
